Ho received on : 26/11/15

Dear ally007
I'm Non-eea married to sea(french) live here for 8 years now.
I'm holding residence permit before now I just apply for EEA(Pr)
I sent all my p60 during 5 years and council tax etc.
I thought my application should be pretty straight forward .
Please advised.

Hi Augustinee, You've done your own part and the rest is left to HO. Remember most of non eea applicants received their documents back after 5 months which is really really long but what can we do than to WAIT. The funniest thing is that.. everytime the postman showup, what I do first is check if he is carrying a big envelope... lol Dementia with style.. lol

Call HO and make sure that they have right address cos i had the situation that waited very long for coa, lost couple jobs cos of that and when i asked ho my wife's passport back it appeared that they've sent it to my old address. After few calles to ho at last caseworker called back and put note in the sistem about my present address. After that we got passport back. Untill they were sending everything to old address. Although I gave them new address.

Hi Lukas24, having struggled with this form myself, I later realised that we do not even have to fill in the form to apply. A simple cover letter with supporting evidence will do! Here is a link to the EEA caseworkers guidelines : https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... s_v3_0.pdf
From Page 19 of this document:
An EEA(PR) form can be used to submit an application. However, you must not refuse or
reject an application because it is not on the right form. A letter requesting a document
certifying permanent residence or permanent residence card, or an application made on one
of the previous forms (EEA3 or EEA4), is acceptable as long as:
 the correct fee is submitted with the application
 the applicant gives their biometric information if they are a non-EEA national applying
on or after 6 April 2015
Hope this helps.
Hello ..did you use a cover letter? Has anyone tried without a form and received a COA?

I think I might be in trouble. I just back to check what I have sent to Ho and I realise I wrote my husband year of birth WRONG . I wrote my year instead. Stupid me. >.<
I'm sure HO always have eyes on details and they will see it which mean they have right to reject my application .?

Hi Patience,
Unfortunately, I did not and wasted so much time filling in a form that it was changed and I then refilled an updated one! But I have since come across posts of non-EEA nationals applying using cover letters and supporting documents and getting their COA and PR's, apparently without any additional delays. Their advice: keep the application simple. All you have to prove are the grounds on which you are entitled to PR.
Hope this helps.

edit: Here is one such forum post: http://www.immigrationboards.com/eea-ro ... m#p1278283

There are other posts suggesting that you include "not required" or "not relevant to EEA PR status" against questions of the form that are irrelevant and unnecessarily intrusive. I do wish I had done that.

Hello Saayas,

For the family permit you mean like residence card.? Do you know why they not allow you to work.?
When i was apply those in 2010. Non-Eea like me also allow to work and I got the application back after 2 months and a half. Pretty quick actually. Only now I apply EEA (pr) seems longer to me.

Usually HO pretty straight forward especially with EEA should not have much problem about it.
Your solicitor is look after it at the moment.? May be chasing it up is a good idea.
I know how you feel to wait very long. I wish you good luck.

keep us posted. I will follow ur post :-)

Yea but my solicitor is being a**everytime I call them they say something.they said wait but I couldn't wait so I told them to chase and they did and they send me the proof that they send letter to home office. I don't know if my visa gonna refuse. And I wann ask from here can I call homeoffice and ask them for right to work or anything that will support to me and my partner. As I'm not working for long time and I can't hold I was thinking to call ho if they can do Coz I can't wait .in my letter they said they can't change their descion for anything until descion from ho.
