Eea 2 residence card application

Post by Eshan bajaj » Mon Oct 22, 2018 11:35 am

Hi,
I am on tier 2 and I have visa until July 2019.
I got married in August 2018 in london with a french national who is exercising her treaty right.
I have applied for a eea2 residence permit after 2 weeks of our marriage, it's almost 2 months that I have applied for ee2 family permit but haven't received a biometric till date. Although I received a email conforming that home office received my application.
Now I want to change my employer but I haven't got coa.

Question 1: what is the process, do i need to enrol for biometric again?

Question 2: can i work with different employer ?

Question3 : what rights do i have now ?

Question 4: can i get coa before biometric enrolment?

Question 4 : do i need to tell my current employer that I will no longer need a spossorhip from them?

Useful to wait a bit longer than 17 minutes before bumping your post for an immediate answer. We are all unpaid volunteers on the forum, have jobs and families so when someone is available to offer advice to help, I am sure they will post.

Likely you may receive an invalidity notice, or that they sent the Biometric to you but it was not received.

It could mean that your application was deemed 'invalid'...

Biometrics enrolment not recieeved

Post by Eshan bajaj » Tue Oct 23, 2018 10:32 am

Hi I am new to the forum and need some help. I am on tier 2 which is due to finish next year in July. I got married 3 months back and applied for ee2 family permit as my wife is a french national and is a qualified person.
I sent my application on 20th august
Fees paid on 22 August
Email conformation 24 August
But till now I haven't heard anything back, neither I have received biometric enrolment letter, neither I have received COA.
I have resigned from my current job as I got a better offer with different employer, but I can't start the new job as I can't prove my rights to work.

I tried to send couple of emails to home office but no response.

Can anyone advise what is the best way for me to go out of this situation.

Question: is it a possibility that I can receive my COA before biometric enrolment as I have to provide it to my new employer Asap.

Any help or suggestions will be much appreciated.
