If you are going through the UKVCAS process, you should not plan to travel outside of the country until you have received your decision.
If you have travelled and your application has been withdrawn, then you will have no legal right to re-enter the UK and make another application.

If you have travelled and your application has been withdrawn, then you will have no legal right to re-enter the UK and make another application.

You will be therefore be refused entry into the UK unless you have made another immigration application before returning.

If this happens to those switching from working visas you could also break any continuous time spent in the UK that would have contributed towards your settlement.
The above does NOT apply to the EU Settlement Scheme.

Last year i applied to EU settlement on februrary 2020 and traveled one month on may 2020 , i haved waited 8 months for decision because they need one evidence so it is no problem to travel when you apply to EU settlement,
However, i am waiting the replacement my card after i did biometric finger on july to change my old card EEU to EU settlement

That has been made sufficiently clear from the beginning, and that is my same situation.

What I mean is that your status won't change or be curtailed or anything just because you applied to update your card. And that advice regarding not to leave the country before a decision is made only applies if you are applying for a visa/permit outside of the EUSS, which is not what we are doing.

Hi kamoe, can you please update once you receive your BRC? Really anxious with the timeline. My friends who submitted biometrics on the 16th April already got theirs on the 7th of July. And both of them at the same day(one of them the email was sent to spammed so noticed it a tad later)!
Obviously I will update. If I haven't given any update here, it means I haven't received the card.
I just received email confirmation from APAD that my replacement card has been issued. In total, 20 weeks after biometrics. Full timeline in the relevant timeline thread here: eea-route-applications/change-brc-issue ... l#p2029826

Well obviously, I don't know.

I was never contacted to tell me of any problems, and there should not be any, since there's nothing for them to "decide"; they are not issuing a new status or visa, just issuing a replacement card for which all steps were duly completed. I really think this is a big random thing, although I believe having a still valid EEA RC until 2023 didn't make this process urgent in any way.

Again, obviously I don't have a crystal ball to know today what will happen when I come back, but I will be more than happy to report once it happens. Again, as I have said multiple times, airlines should not be an issue, since I can produce a physical card to board the plane, and UK immigration should not be an issue either since the electronic status is still attached to the EEA RC.

Will report back in two months!

I never expect anything easy from HM but still not understand how some people get BRC in 10 weeks and some get after 6 months. like kamoe got after 20 weeks. there s not many euss applications any more from 1st July but still time frame is so long.
