when i submitted my online application-it said on document check list that decision time 8 weeks from on-line application date.
I believe that's a canned sentence for all types of applications.
Can you pls share you timeline?
Applied for Settled Status: February 1st 2021
Granted Settled status: March 15th 2021
Biometrics given: April 16th 2021

No further communication/notification received; no card received yet.

I appreciate your empathy, but this is not a nightmare. I think you are being a bit extreme here. :)

8 weeks is not out of ordinary, and definitely not the longest I have had to wait for an answer from the Home Office (for both my EEA RC and my Pre-Settled status I waited for months).
when does your current Card expire?
My card expires in 2023. I did not wait for my card to expire to start the process of replacing my card; I applied as soon as I got Settled Status. This might have an impact on how long I wait, since I understand priority might be given to card already expired/about to expire. I'm OK with that.
did you try to contact them? if yes-did you get a reply from them?
Knowing there is a shortage of people working on this, and a surplus of last-time applications, contacting them for a non-urgent case is only going to create more work and more delay to everyone, specially all they can tell is only a caned answer. No, I have not contacted them nor I intend to.

My timeline it is in line with past reported timelines. Again, given there is a bottleneck, I do not consider there is any particular issue here.

Just to compare apples with apples, adding the seven working days to @Frimpong05's timeline, that makes 11 weeks and a half = almost three months, from biometrics to receiving the card. Oh well.

Hi everyone,

I am in a bit of a pickle now. I've applied for a replacement brc to replace my eea one in april. I was advised to used the app to upload a residence document and that I did not need to attend an appointment from ukvcas but now that I went to my application, it says, download the consent form and send it to us and that i need to attend a biometric appointment? is that so? i really don't understand how all this works.

The feedback page at the end of the brc upgrade application page is a standard that will have the consent form download and the green button to book an appointment at ukvcas on there. It’s a standard. It still says that on mine even after booking and attending an appointment for the biometrics and receiving my EUSS issued card.

Ignore that page and go by the email UKVCAS or UKVI sends you with instructions as to what to do next. That is the one that matters.

Thanks Bazinga, that is very useful and UKVCAS also said the same thing so I'm ok with that now. I've asked how long it may take for this to UKVI through my MP as I could not get a hold of UKVI through their phone number, it kept saying busy and they told my MP that it may take up to 6 months? Is that correct? Why would it take that long when we already have been given the Pre-settled/Settled Status. I can understand 8-10 weeks but 6 months sound a bit of a stretch for a replacement card especially if I want to travel.

That isn’t unusual. It all depends on the applications going through now especially with end of June deadline in sight even though you don’t need to change the card now after being told for months you have to. Hopefully it’s less than the 6 months for you. Someone has reported 4 months which is the longest I have seen but mine took about 6 weeks but that was in April I submitted my biometrics.

Biometric on : 09/04/2021. - Didn't read the fourm beforehand and paid 138. Don't need to do that apparently.

Second email to APAD : 21/06/2021
Card issued Email : 23/06/2021
Card received on: 25/06/2021.

Thanks.

Brp expired 05/04/2021.

Not sure if expiry date is making much difference since there are people on the board who got theirs within the specified 8 weeks time even with non-expred brp.

The processing time is probably 12-16 weeks currently based on the time lines here, regardless of biometric and expiry date.

It's not that you did not need to do that. As far as I understand, the biometrics route was available until late April. It's true that you could have found a free appointment with some effort, but giving biometrics itself was still the correct procedure was at that time.
First email to APAD : 14/05/2021 - standard reply to wait and not send anymore emails :P
Second email to APAD : 21/06/2021
Then why did you send the second one? It's not because you send emails that your get your card sooner.

The service is absolutely SWAMPED at the moment, I urge everyone to be conscious of this and just be a bit patient, specially when you can have an idea of what normal processing times are in this thread. Insisting in contacting them by phone or email just because you want an update is not only NOT going to give you any answers, it will also delay the process for those who do need real and urgent advice from the contact centre.
Card issued Email : 23/06/2021
Card received on: 25/06/2021.
Congratulations.

That means it's about 11 weeks, or close to 3 months, after biometrics.

I also just completed 10 weeks since biometrics, no notification yet. That's still normal timeline, therefore I am not worried, and I am NOT calling or emailing APAD, because as we have already established that is completely useless.

Please, just be a bit patient. According to current timelines you will receive notification shortly. Only if your timeline significantly deviates from others (which is not the case yet) then you'll have a reason for escalation. For now, any alarm is simply unjustified.
