This was strange because we’ve been waiting for COA to come, but nothing. Then today, we received an email saying the Residency Card is arriving today. So we’re beyond happy, but in a bit of shock that it’s all the sudden over. The letter we received with the RC states that we “may or may not have received a COA letter”.

Yay! No more immigration issues for the next 5 years!

EEA-EFM unmarried partner application. Decision made in three weeks (!) - appplication received by home office on Wednesday 27 Feb, decision letter dated Wednesday 20 March. Unmarried partner application with a whole stack of evidence; On the other hand EEA sponsor already had PR and DCPR, so nothing to check on that side at least, maybe that helped speed things up.

Asked for ID and travel documents to be returned ASAP by prepaid envelope, but "only" got them back with the decision letter and other documents. No complaints though given how fast they were. Including the prepaid special delivery envelope was worth it anyway, as it meant we received the decision letter the morning after it was posted.

Never received any email from them, so don't worry if you're not getting a confirmation email either.
