Could you tell me please, when you asked them your passport back, did you get automated aknowliedgement email after submitting the form? cos we asked my wife's passport and we didn't get email.
thank you
Hi Jotoia,

I didn't receive any acknowledgement, apart from the page after you submit the form where it said that the request had been successful. There was also a tracking number on that page, which I didn't even write down because the page refreshed
But it all went well, I submitted the request on the 15th (late evening) and the HO letter which came with the passports was dated 19th
Thank you Anna1912

i am EU unmarried partner with more than 3 years cohibitation. this is my second application for residence card.
my time line as under.
EEA2 sent on 01.07.15
COA recd on 14.07.15
Biometric on 26.07.15
Rc ...... Waiting

i have a few questions.
i applied before in august 2014 but they refused with some silly points that i have not mentioned my partner employer BT line contact number in form. and also they said you have not live together exactly 2 years. but in fact we start living together since june 2012 and we send first application on august 2014 which is 2 years and 2 months with joint bills and joint bank statements and tenancy agreements photos friends letter and many more correspondence on our name.
now i applied again in July 2015 and waiting for the RC.

Question 1:
will i get right of appeal if they refused my application ? Last time they gave me right of appeal but i didnt go court coz i requested paper decision.

Question 2:
anybody have experience called for interview ,home visit or call from home office?

Question 3:
Anybody got right to work with EEA2 EFM unmarried Application.

Question 4:
how long is the procession time now aday for the EEA2 RC.
Hi fazalkhan2015,
Good luck with the new application!

I can tell you about our experience regarding your 3rd question - My partner (non eea) got a COA with right to work, but we believe this was due to him being in possession of a visa valid until 2016, which gives him the right to work. So I believe it depends on your current visa situation...

As for yout 4th question, it seems like the average is 5 months nowadays, from the date you submit your application.

May I ask a question too, about your first application please, as reading about the phone line thing got me worried about ours. Have you provided a mobile phone number, or have you not put in any contact number at all?

Thanks!

When did you actually receive your COA and what date is on the letter?
Brizzel wrote:Just an update on my status.
Oh well, I guess this means I'll receive my RC card before everyone else in my batch?

am so relieved this finally moving forward.
It's hard to say, actually. But in the email they told me was dated on Monday, 21 September. They sent me a copy via email on the 23rd. But it hasn't arrived in the post as of yet. It could also be the very weird delivery we have here in Bristol. We receive post quicker from Germany than we do from within the UK. Very odd.

I'm just so relieved that this is sorted. I work for a very prominent legal entity and having an illegal working for them would have been a disaster... for both of us!

It just bewilders me that they knew from the get go that there was a mistake and an actual agent really did delete my file. Why they didn't fix it right then and there is beyond me.

This really could have been devastating for us since I am the one that makes the bulk of our money. Oh well... onward to the next step! When I have the actual letter, I'll post again. But I do have the copy in an email form... that's why I said it was hard to say. lol :?

Hi, I feel your pain! And yes, better to get on them. But you still might be within the "acceptable" window. :?

When you email NWEuroCOA, you MUST include for you AND your partner

  • Nationalities.
If this information is not in the email for both of you, they simply will bin your email.

If it is really urgent, put "URGENT" and your case number in the subject line. It might help a little. The typical response should be 3-5 working days... but they took 10 with me, but I submitted my first email incorrectly.

And yes, the general help line is only there to provide advice on how to do something. Why they do not have the ability to review cases and subvert all of these pointless emails is beyond my comprehension.

If you can please give advice on this.

When I applied for EEA FM, my wife was on job seeker allowance. She got a job recently and she is my Sponsor.
Will it make my application strong if we send her's job offer letter to Home office.

Thanks
Hi,

This is where you need to call the main 0300 number. I think thy can advise you on this. But IMO, yes. There is a change of status option on the home office website. From what I have read, and I am NOT an expert, job seekers tend to have their applications denied the majority of the time. Your partner's working would definitely add to your application.

this forum is amazing in sharing timelines and getting certain information--especially figuring out the timeline shenanigans. There are a couple of poster/moderators on expatforum-com that really are knowledgeable about all the intricacies of this crazy process. Just create a topic in the british expat forum. But be VERY specific with your question because they tend to give only one answer per post... but sometimes I got a little lucky and got two! 8) I believe (not positive) one actually works in this field but gives advice freely.

Good luck!

Dear all,

Do you all know the Home Office email address which i can check why i haven't receive my Biometric letter for my EEA FM application? I worry the letter might be missing. I checked the previous timeline and majority received the biometric letter within 2 weeks. None of them get the letter after one month.

Thank you so much.

I just came across a post by Derpyalrrk on 11/09/2015:
Application sent 30/03/2015
COA dated 2/04/2015 received 09/04/2015
Interview at Liverpool office: end of August
RC received: 11/09/2015
It all took just less than the 6 months allocated.

But I also remember seeing posts where people went for an interview and then haven't heard from the HO for months, and when they called, the only response they got was "still processing". I hope your interview was successful and you'll get your RC within a couple of weeks like Derpyalrrk.

If someone has been waiting for more than 6 months, you can submit a Freedom of Information request to the Home Office at https://www.whatdotheyknow.com and ask about your case.

We were just talking here at a birthday party and one girl said that her application went over 6 months last year and she submitted a Freedom of Information request on https://www.whatdotheyknow.com. HO replied rather quickly and then one week later she received her passport back with a visa in it.

Do you all know the Home Office email address which i can check why i haven't receive my Biometric letter for my EEA FM application? I worry the letter might be missing. I checked the previous timeline and majority received the biometric letter within 2 weeks. None of them get the letter after one month.

Thank you so much.

same thing with me
i send the application in 17 august they take payment from my account after tht no latter nothing is nearlly 5 weeks now
Hi saqi4567
Do you mind to tell you have submitted which form?
My husband (EEA) and i (Non-EEA) submitted EEA (QP) and EEA(FM) together.
Yesterday, i called HO and they said will get within 6 weeks and previously another HO staff told me is 5 weeks.
Now, i really don't know who is giving me the correct answer.
Wondering can call HO and check whether they have mailed over Biometrics letter.
