Yes I'm not complaining. I didn't realise till I got the card that I made mistake. So I'll reaply with correct form.
Am not saying you are, just answering your question as to why you got RC instead of PR.
Yes thanks. Do you know by chance, or anyone here, if i apply now for pr i need to send rc, or send it in and ask to return it tome. I might need to travel so without it i wont have anything to come back to the country.
Cheers

Hi Every one!
i have found these information very valuable and productive...thanks to those who take time and share their experiences to make others life easy! i am coming with a very complicated situation if someone could help me
out how to deal with my situation here!
i meet my wife one and half year ago and been together more then a year.my student visa was curtailed and my final date was 30may to put another application or leave the country. i have applied as unmarried partner
just not to be overstayed and got acknowledgement as well as bio matrices but during that time we go married and on october 14 and i reapplied with help of my solicitor on the 22 of october with a covering letter to withdraw the previous application..its been almost 7 weeks and they did not deducted my application fee which is a worrying dilemma to my self! i have called them and i have been told that it would take up to six weeks to just deduct a payment!!! (where as i am seeing here it does not take that long) and second time when i call them they told me it takes 8 weeks to take the application fee!.
someone said to mention that we should mention our nationalities to figure out things so i hold a pakistani passport and my wife is from Slovakia....
i am looking for suggestions please help me what to do! i am really missing home and running out of money without job!

I've received my COA without the right to work together with my biometric. Coz I've forgot to enclosed my certificate of marriage.

Hi Im Pakistani.. Thank you .. yeah thankfully.. the number that has been given to me is only the interview teams number which i cannot disclose due to the contents being strictly confidential to me only.. I did call them before during which they told me to wait 10 working days after the deadline has reached and on the day of the deadline they sent me an email.. so i guess all of u have to wait if that is the case unfortunately.. :(

Hey guys we received delivery card, they forgot to put our flat number, so now it is only for tomorrow! I am more worried than I can admit actually. The good thing is that we requested our passports back last week and received them a week later. If application is refused they held them afterwards, so I am thinking that it was a good strategic move to get them before in any outcome (so we can travel in two weeks). Wish us luck! :? :?

Now I am happily confused.

After a weird mishap with the Home Office deleting my application and requesting two biometrics under two different case numbers let alone a whole lot of emails to the COA team, I am now the proud recipient of a 5-year residency card with right to work.

That being said, they haven't sent my passport and papers back! Also, my partner did not receive his card. Very odd indeed. But at least I can travel soon! That is if they haven't lost my documents.

Here's my timeline.
US citizen civilly partnered to an EU national (german) for 9 years (formerly was residing/working in Germany)

20.07.2015 application sent
21.07.2015 application received
22.07.2015 payment deducted
29.07.2015 acknowledgment to EEA National partner
03.08.2015 biometrics taken
01.09.2015 biometrics taken again
24.09.2015 biometrics letter (via email) with right to work**
05.10.2015 biometrics letter (post) received
16.12.2015 RC card received (didn't received my documents or approval letter yet)

**there was a major problem with my application, but where my COA was ridiculously late, my RC card came in before the acceptance letter. lol Oh well, I can put this to rest for another 4.5 years! woo hoo!

To those applying--in our supporting documents, we didn't provide payslips, just a contract and signed affidavit from the employer of my partner. It obviously sufficed.

A happy Christmas to all those that partake and a happy new year to all! I am soooo relieved!!!
