I can not move
you can ask for your passport back if you need to travel. It will not affect your application (and in some cases might speed up the process, depending if the application is in its final stage). When a decision can be made in your case, they will either write to you asking for the passport back to place the sticker or put the sticker on a piece of paper and post it you.

Then, ask for your partner's passport back so the application will make one step forward.

OR simply prove them that your job/work depends on a time and your RC, so they can make an exception with you and speed it up.

Have you got the CoA letter? That will be good enough to re-enter the UK.
Where are you travelling to? Is it within the EU?
If you are a visa national, then it might be more tricky to convince the airline that you are allowed to enter the UK especially if you are travelling alone.

I have read that if you are about to travel to Malta without obtaining visa, you must travel then with your EEA spouse, otherwise you have to obtain Schengen visa as usual.

Did u get residence card or just COA? You are confusing us here, and moreover two page or not COA is COA.
beloved is the belief that there are inherent differences in people's traits and capacities that are entirely due to their race, however defined, and that, as a consequence, justify the different treatment of those people, both socially and legally.

The OP did not state his nationality. He might not need a Schengen visa...

recd 2 pages with only signature on 2nd page. 1 pg or 2 pg does not matter as long as u have teh signature at the end indicating end of letter

I will suggest you give them a call and find out if it matters.
Its only my guess but it should not matter as if a potential employer or anyone else checks for the authenticity of the letter from the home office, it will turn out to be true.
