Alright then, prepare yourself and also go through this forum I think alot of applicants have also been invited for interview.

Meanwhile, I was just thinking these,
is there any major age difference between you and your partner?
Did you recently got married and submitted your application immediately after the marriage?

Those could be some reasons, I may be wrong though

Hi, I applied my EEA2 on 03/01/13 after my marriage which was on 13/12/12 and received COA on 01/02/13 my husband's from Denmark.

Have you sent your relationship timeline or any photos to prove about the marriage reason. I did send it. if you have those evidences I suggest you to send it to UKBA and write cover letter ask about your COA.

good luck

Hi, Its better if you attach the word document form for requesting the passports back, we used the following email addresses:

barcurgentreturns@ukba.gsi.gov.uk
rodrequests@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk

you should receive the documents within 20 days.
hope it helps.

Hi sofia, we've sent two emails, the first one was sent without the word form that you can find on the UKBA website, 7 days later we've sent a new email with the form and we've received the passports back with the RC in 10 working days.

OMG... I hoped you live near to Liverpool... So they can invite anybody, no matter how far it is.
Good luck to you!

I am waiting for COA, it's already 3 weeks since they've received my documents. Now I am even more nervous... We wouldn't like to visit Liverpool on such occasion

Really need your advice!
10 Feb is 6 months since my application. There's only three more days to have a chance to receive RC before that, but every day at the sight of the empty mailbox the hope fades.
What should I do if I don't receive it by Saturday and it exceeds 6 months?

EEA1 + EEA2 App

Post by BonoVox » Wed Feb 06, 2013 4:05 pm

Hi guys,

As some people here, I've been reading this forum silently for a while and now I decided to share my case; I am married with an European.

My time line is:

EEA1 + EEA2 APP sent: 31/12/12
APP received by HO: 01/01/13
COA Received: 01/02/13 (dated: 30/01/12)
RC: Waiting..

I got a question; I sent all the right documents to them and It seems It's everything alright, My wife is self-employed and she registered as a couple of months ago; Now, we just received the confirmation of the direct debit we asked the H&M to pay the national insurance contributions. Should I send this letter to the HO, or should I just let as It is... and wait.. What do you think?

I also thought about writing them to try to speed up the process since I can't travel and my job requires me to travel a lot (I've been missing a lot of work since I need to go to America often). I also don't know If now that we got the COA, I request our passports back - as many people here tend to do.

I appreciate If you guys can help me. This process is so slow..

Thanks!

Congras! I submitted mine on 4th Sep 2012 but am still waiting for RC. I just got a job offer. But I'm worried the employer would turn me down even I have COA which will expire on 4th of Mar 2013.

My Timeline

App sent - 6th oct 2012
H.O recvd-8th oct 2012
C.O.A -15th oct{dated 11th oct} (with right to work)
R C - Waiting..:(

Been over 4 months now.no news at all.just called them once to ask about the update but was denied saying cannot before 6 months and was replied "DO NOT CALL AGAIN"in the most rude way i've ever heard.

i'm on the verge of loosing my current job as my employer has given me a notice of 1 month as he fears about my STATUS in UK.Asked me to get proper paperwork before the end of this month..don't know what to do.

Also cannot travel abroad as i eagerly want to for professional stuff.

Almost loosing everything :( ..this wait is really frustrating.

Received RC this week!

Post by dockabros » Thu Feb 07, 2013 8:13 pm

Hi Everyone,

Been following this thread for a while and was at my wit's ends waiting for my wife's RC to come through but to all of you still waiting there is some light at the end of the tunnel.

Our timeline was:

Application sent: 01/09/12
COA received: 15/10/12 (dated 01/10/12)
RC Received: 06/02/13 (dated 24/01/13)

So just a little over 5 months. Now we can renew my wife's passport (it expires in July) and visit her family as a married couple for the first time this summer!

Good luck and see you all again in 5 years when the EEA4 wagon comes rolling into town!
