july 6th still waiting

Post by tina999 » Tue Feb 26, 2013 10:30 am

Really at our wits end
Appl eea2 6/7/12
Coa 19/10/12
We have emailed, solicitor has written, sent 2 compliants, have called, Mp has written
I as a self empl person also wrote personally giving contact details for thwm to let me know if they need any confirmation of self emp status.
Can't bear the waiting.
I have asked to be put through to caseworker as past 6mths but they refused.
So far no response to any of our correspondance which has mostly been after jan6th 6mth deadline......

COA already? Wow, that was fast. I applied the exact same date as you. Still waiting for any contact from their side.

I wonder if this might have something to do with where we are based. Mind sharing where you live?!

@har.is - I haven't received my COA either, and the HO received my joint EEA1/EEA2 application on January 14th! I am particularly surprised because we got our passports back on February 7th as per our request eight days earlier. I hope they don't request our passports back again....

Hi everyone,

I am posting here maybe someone had similar situation as mine, i have applied for eea2 7 months ago, with pressure for my lawyer they recently phoned my wife ex work as she resigned from there. Ukba agent asked the boss if my wife is working there, the boss told the agent that she had found another job nearby where she lives. Does anyone knows if it will jeopardize my application ?. Can someone please explain if they had similar situation.

Most probably they might ask the detail of your wife's present job. Just wait for them.
Please donot send PM. Write in open forum to facilitate others too.

I dont think it matters where you send the application from. We sent our from London. I think it mattes how lazy HO staff decides to be when the post arrives to their tables!

yes this will jeopardize your application because your wife is no longer working there irrespective of the fact that she got another job. home office will decide your application based on the information you gave them ie in the application form. but if it a good caseworker it will not be a problem just pray . if anything negative happens appeal you will win

home office will never ask for your wifes evidence of her new employment any slightest thing ukba normally refuse the application.

We applied and my mum, annoying, forgot to send my passport. Me and my twin brother both got our coa's pretty quickly, my brother has the right to work but obviously I don't. Will this slow my application. We sent off the passport 2 weeks after we sent the application.

you should write an email asking for a new COA. confirm to them that they are now aware of your ID ETC ETC ETC... - dont ask them for a new COA, but TELL THEM to issue it... (they tend to ignore a request, but some firm emails gets things moving - also, if you request your passport back for urgent travel etc, your case might get moved to a priority queue...)

hi guys!

I need your advice. I applied for the RC in September. Two weeks after my application I found out That I have an outstanding public record, because I didnt pay off one of the old parking tickets which i havent received as we moved adresses. I quickly informed HO on that, and I also said in my letter to them that I will send an update with the paid receipt once the court removes it from my credit record. This took me about 2 months to wait for the court. In the beginning of January, everything was over, my record was clean and parking ticket was paid. I informed HO.

Do you think it might affect their decision on my RC???

thanks

Post by BuTanka » Fri Mar 01, 2013 11:44 am

Hi everyone! I have received my residence card on A4 paper in the signed for second class envelope.

Any suggestions how to keep this A4 paper? After traveling several times with it it might start looking bad...

Do not laminate or do anything to it as it will make it invalid to use. Just put in a clear film envelop n staple envelope to your passport.

Thank you.

Congrat Bu Tanka. It seems majority of ppl receive RC around 3-4 months. But I just dont get how HO deal with EEA application. My Chinese friend sent EEA2 on 11/02, and got RC 28/02, ONLY 17 DAYS. Do they choose it randomly?

WOW! It's the record! Me neither, I do not understand it, how is it possible?.. But your friend must be really lucky and happy, or even crazy about this fact! :)

One more lucky, only 2 months! (I'm bursting with envy  )

You do not need to send new passport for a stamp, you can travel with both your passports.
"Where an applicant's passport expires during the validity of a multi-entry visa, the visa (or leave) may be transferred to the new passport at their request. Applicants may be advised that any visa (or leave) endorsed in the expired passport remains valid so applicants can, if they wish, keep their expired passport with the new passport and therefore do not need to request any transfer" http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/polic ... ecb/ecb17/

That was exactly what I was going to say. I am keeping my expired passport with my new passport. I did not want to go through hell just to transfer stamp. Not worth it.
