Anybody received RC for application applied in October 2012?...

Im an October applicant as well. As I said before it seems like our case worker is a useless person, I still cant believe how people who applied in Dec, Jan and EVEN Feb are receiving their RC so quick, madness. UKBA is the worst thing in the world, I hope they have something to give them a feedback of the process to give them the worse feedback ever. Anyway, I requested my passports back last week so tomorrow it would be 7 days, they would have to arrive very soon so I will share my case as soon as I can. Good luck to everyone!

I am an october applicant, and it looks like all october applicant haven't received their RC yet. I applied on 20th October 2012. I asked for my doc back on the 6th March. I still haven't heard anything. It's more than 10 days. I decided to leave it until the 26th before calling them. I can't find a reason why all October applicant would be slower than application sent on December/January... really stressful experience. I hope UKBA knows how stressed people are.

I did apply on 20th October as well mate! Lol
Well, its been just 11 days since you asked for your docs back, isnt it? I think they are coming soon. And as somebody said here before, they are acting very fast the first quarter of 2013 so UKBA seems like is doing it very well.
Would you mind to share your case/docs provided?
Thanks

Same thing, I got my COA after 8-9 days... And yet, another comment from someone who received their RC within in a month. What the hell is happening? how can something like this happen.

Hi EEA2APPLICANT I thoughts so but my COA
says can't confirm your right to work in UK depends
on the outcome of the appl, tried everything
from complaints, writing to them even local MP
but nothing so far, overstayer perhaps that's the
reason

Hello,

Just a few more data points:

I applied in October of 2012, and am also still waiting. We chose the self-sufficiency option. My wife (who's an EU national) and i were married in Aug of 2011, in London (so we submitted a certificate of marriage from the UK).

EEA2 delivered to UKBA: 25/10/12
CoA received: 08/11/2012

In my original (Oct 2012) cover letter, i'd requested the immediate return of our passports, explaining that i sometimes need to travel out of the UK for work. (I had been in the UK on a Tier 2 skilled worker visa since January 2011, sponsored by my employer.)

In January 2013, i sent a letter requesting the return of our passports. I never received any reply this request or the initial request. I tried calling 0151 672 5626, but was unable to reach a human, and was directed by an automated message to 0845 010 5200.

After waiting on hold for about 20 minutes (not cheap with the premium charges!) i spoke with someone who was unable to tell me anything at all, other than to fill out the Word document at this page:

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/about ... enquiries/

... and email it in.

I completed the Documents Return form and did receive our passports back within 3 weeks.

I would advise (anyone) against wasting your money on the 0845 number. The person i spoke with seemed unable to give me any information regarding to my case, and he said he could not transfer me to anyone else (like a manager) to speak with.

Coming up on 5 months, and still waiting for any communication regarding the RC itself (other than the CoA).

I don't think it's just one case worker, the amount of application that UKBA
receives in one month cannot physically be handled by 1 person alone.
So there's something else happening.
Probably the back-log from all the 2012 applications delayed the processing of October
ones, though that doesn't explain why November and December ones already got their RCs.

I'm so angry that UKBA doesn't have a proper feedback/complaint mechanism
in place, apart from submitting an email that gets ignored most of the times it seems.
It leaves people feeling helpless and anxious.
Didn't expect such poor service when dealing with such a sensitive matter
as immigration from a country such as UK...

I've applied for the RC on 28th January too, and I'm still waiting. I'm trying to get my husband's passport, but daamn it's difficult, we've already sent 2 e-mails and I'm getting ready to send the third one, and this is because we need the European passport not mine. He's travelling in April and we're getting worried.

You should get yours anytime soon, depending on the documents that you sent to the ukba.Be patient the more you call them the more you piss them off and they take eternity to process it.

Hello,

I am in the same situation except I have applied in October.
I have noticed it was taking too long so I requested our passport back on the 5th March. On the email they send back they say that it can take up to 10 days to send the passport back after it was first taken into the right team. The thing here is that they don't say how long it takes for them to take your application or documents to the right team... Only god knows... maybe it's 2 weeks, maybe a month...

It's been 2 weeks since I requested our passport saying that we need to travel for this bank holiday... Heard nothing so requested passport back again today... Same email, same form... only this time, I am complaining a bit... When did you send your first and second request?
