I was wondering if you had already heard back from them. It seems the HO caseworkers are out of summer holidays :?

Hi Hubba, I received my COA on the 14th of July dated 10th of July, after that, nothing else.

My Cousin sent her EEA application about 3 weeks before mine and received the PR yesterday, a similar case to mine.

Hopefully mine will be back soon!! Fingers crossed!

COA received 12/07 (dated 07/07)
been separated from my EEA wife for the last 2 years, divorce absolute issue on 05/14
My RC is still Valid till 08/15 still valid for one year, but been married to EEA over 5years as qualify for PR after 5 years from the date of marriage
the wife was agreed to provide me with the required documents.
the documents i sent as the following...

P60,P45,Payslip all together for the past 5 years
Bills
Voters Card
Tenancy agreement in both our names while living together

been married since 06/2009 outside the Uk, lived in Uk over five years

Request for passport to travel on the 06/08 for urgent travel, passport received in a week 13/08 with out PR issue.

A letter attached saying non EEA wishing to travel aboard should apply for an EEA family permit at a british diplomatic post aboard before returning to the Uk, as it free of charge and on priority basis. It should be noted that any such application would need to be supported by evidence to show that EEA national is in the Uk, is exercising treaty right, and that the relationship is as claimed. Please do not return your passport to the HO until it been requested by a Caseworker.

However, I still have one year valid left on my RC, please can anyone here advise if I don't need to apply for the permit at the british diplomatic aboard to return, can I used my RC still valid for one year to return in the Uk, or decide not to even go aboard at all, can anyone confirm that the letter is written to me by my caseworker as there is a name on the letter and a contact number on it which is very unlikely of them ?

I'm going for the purpose of collecting data abroad for my research, in which I'm looking for the possibility to do that over the phone and internet based.

Can you please advise of what might suit best in my situation ? I will look forward to you guys advise

Still waiting guys
i will keep you updated guys.....
Hi Nico,

You can't really use your Residence Card. Your Residence Card was conditioned to the fact that you were a family member of an EEA national exercising Treaty Rights in the UK. This is not the case anymore, since you have divorced your EEA national on 05/14. Hopefully the HO will be sensible enough to process your EEA4 request without a hiccup, since this looks like a straightforward retention of rights case.

Regarding travel arrangements, if you are a VISA national, I'd personally postpone any trips until you have sorted this out. It shouldn't take much longer and you may be hassled in the border by an ill-informed agent.
Hi Hubba,

Thank you for the great information that will be very helpful for me. I will postpone my travel until all is been sorted.

More information from others on this forum are more welcome.

Thanks again Hubba !

That was a very fast processing application. I am about to submit my application for P.R. but am a bit concern for the fact that mine is not so straight forward as some people do. My husband only work for four months after we got married in 2009 but has been working since he came to London, he lost his job in the recession and then got a tempoary one for four months after we got married. He has been getting his pension credit from then until now, am wondering if it will cause a problem for me as the non eu.

I have been working for the same company for the past 6 years to present, we don't have any comprenhensive sickness insurance cover either because we never knew of that and we never uses the NHS in five years, becuase we pay for private GP becuase of the long wait on NHS. I am just wondering if this will caues a problem for me, what do you think ?

Hi all,

I have a new application for EEA4

Timeline:
Submitted: 28/07/14
COA received 07/08/14 (which is dates 05/08/14)
Waiting begins now.

I submitted on the basis that my Polish wife has been exercising her treaty rights for the last 5 years.

Document supplied.

Marriage certificate
Proof of addresses (joint for lat 5 years)
P60's and Pay slips for my wife for last 5 years
Contract of employment
Worker scheme registration certificate for my wife
Proof of addresses (joint for lat 5 years)
-Bank statements
-Mortgage statements
-Council tax bills
-Water Bills
-Gas Bills
Comprehensive list of days which we were both absent from the UK (this was the tricky bit as I traveled to Europe allot for work) - Max allowed days out of the UK is 180 per year dating back from date of application. I got really close to that number is 2010, but hoping it will be OK.

Will provide an update once received from HO.

fingers crossed for all those who are still waiting.

@ teardrops - How long has your husband been continuously been working? If you apply now, your husband would have needed to be employed or self employed or economically self sufficient since August 2009.

Hope this helps

I think you have every reason to call and check with them, tomorrow I will call them myself to check what's going on. By the way I have called them few times for my COA and it was re-issued on 28th July, after first one was lost in mail on 4th July due to wrong address by case worker.

I think you have no reason to call them, as they clearly state on the COA letter that the application will be dealt with within the next 6 months following the application and you should only call them after the 6 months period.

My Solicitor left if very clear for me, that because the first application took only one month do be processed it doesn't mean this would be the same, as they still have 6 months to do it. So I think there is no point in putting pressure on them. All applications are different, you can't rely on someone else's processing time. It's just for you to have an idea, but it's not exact.

I did not know that even then sam&dani application is almost 6 months old, I have already called them few times, I did not use a solicitor that's why never got such useful information. Thanks for your help----

My first application took one month exactly to be returned, I applied with my mom, she got a PR but they refused mine saying I didn't send proof of residence for the last 5 years, and I did, for the last 6 years. So I decided to send it again, and it has been almost 2 months as well. but I am trying to be patient, I know we get really anxious but there is nothing we can do. Just think positive and have faith in God that it will be alright.
