what will they do to you current EEA2?
I think if the HO refused your EEA4, you will get back ur passport with remaining visa on it. .

Hi all,

Writing this message whilst being overwhelmed with excitement, I got an email form my immigration advisers stating that they received my passport with my PR stamp inside my passport!!

Timeline:
Submitted: 28/07/14
COA received 07/08/14 (which is dated 05/08/14)
PR received 07/10/2014
(71 days from submitting application)

I submitted on the basis that my Polish wife has been exercising her treaty rights for the last 5 years.

Document supplied.

Marriage certificate
Proof of addresses (joint for lat 5 years)
P60's and Pay slips for my wife for last 5 years
Contract of employment
Worker scheme registration certificate for my wife
Proof of addresses (joint for lat 5 years)
-Bank statements
-Mortgage statements
-Council tax bills
-Water Bills
-Gas Bills
Comprehensive list of days which we were both absent from the UK (this was the tricky bit as I traveled to Europe allot for work) - Max allowed days out of the UK is 180 per year dating back from date of application. I got really close to that number is 2010, but hoping it will be OK.

I have my fingers crossed for all you folks that are awaiting your PR's, it's a stressful process to go through just be positive!

Celebrating tonight!

I am new to this forum as my EEA family permit expires on 14 January 2015. I am going to Egypt on holiday on the 22nd of Dec '14 and returning back on 5 January 2015. When do I have to apply for my EEA4 permit? Do I have to have an immigration advisor and if so how much do they charge for their services?

Thanks

What documents did you submit? Are you living together with your spouse according to bank statements etc? I wonder what could trigger this visit?! Weird...

Well, as far as I understand, when you apply for EEA2 (and you did, I assume) you have to prove that your marriage is legitimate. When you apply for EEA4 you do not really need to prove old facts. Treaty rights for 5 years are only matters (both of you) and your residence in UK (again for 5 years). What happened to you is very simple thing. You have done something that made UKVI to put you in their black list. I do not expect you to give all the information, I’m sure you know the exact reason.
Every interview or home visit cost a lot of money to UKVI. Therefore, these things do not happen out of the blue they are driven by their budget. I really want to believe that this is just a mistake, but logically it does not end up.

This is just shocking and humiliating!!! You must submit a complaint, but better wait for their decision...

@ Mirth -yes agree with you, I won't take any step until I get a decision from them.

@ alex.torredo71 - I honestly don't know what have I done that for them to place me in a "blacklist"
Yes I had my EEA2 and once expired I submitted the EEA4.
I completed the form and submitted the documents as requested in the form - that is all.

Treaty rights have been exercised by both myself and my wife so is our marriage legitimate.
No clue for the reason behind the home visit, but I guess if they had any doubts they were cleared after the visit.

The wait is a killer..
Would any of you know how long can it take now after the visit?

Thanks for all your replies

Congratulations Nix!!! We are desperate for some positive news here :) Can you please advise when COA was issued (not received)? I feel HO is stuffed with applications by the end of year!

Anyone submitted in mid-August? Plenty of those sent their applications in July and September...

Hi Mirth

The date on my COA letter from the Home Office is 07 August 2014 -- I can't remember the exact date I received it, but it was pretty close to that date. I hope that helps!

Best of luck :)
