You should receive a acknowledgement letter first and followed by COA - Certificate of Application.
I applied on 28th August and still waiting, I called them twice and they said my application is under consideration !
I'm doing a temporary assignment and was offered a permanent position but because of my permit expiring in a week, the chances of getting hired permanently is getting slimmer by the day, and my contract which would not even finish until Feb would cease as the agency would have to let me go. I called the number you gave me, they said they received my application dec 2nd but for reason he could not give he said its still not on their system. And they wont be able to send me a letter until then. He said it shouldn't really affect my employment or me being here in UK but without that letter at the moment, how am I going to prove I am allowed to stay and work here. He said to call back again next week. So I'm crossing my fingers.

But thanks so much, atleast I have a bit of peace of mind.

Hi
We applied EEA3 and EEA4 on 22nd Sept .
Today we received the passports. Unfortunately instead of PR , i have 5 years visa and my husband EEA3 application was rejected, only sent him a blue card that is a residence document for EEA citizens.
They sent us a letter which says i have a new "residence card of EEA family" visa but no explanations about rejection of EEA3 and EEA4.
I am planning to go to solicitor to get some advise.

HELLO EVERYONE,

I HAVE RECENTLY APPLIED (17TH NOVEMBER 2014) FOR A EEA4 PERMANENT RESIDENCY AFTER BEING ON THE 5 YEAR RESIDENCE CARD. HAVING READ A LOT OF POSTS HERE AND MY QUESTION UNANSWERED, I'M EVER MORE CURIOUS AS TO WHY NO ONE ELSE HAS RAISED THIS TOPIC.

SHOULD'NT THE EEA4 PERMANENT RESIDENCE START STRAIGHT AFTER EXPIRY OF THE 5 YEAR RESIDENCE CARD?????

LET ME DETAIL.
MY 5 YR RESIDENCE CARD EXPIRED ON THE 29TH NOVEMBER 2014 AND THE HOME OFFICE TAKES UP TO SIX MONTHS OR LONGER IN SOME CASES. BY THE TIME MY APPLICATION IS SUCCESSFUL AND THE HOME OFFICE GRANTS ME A PR, FOR EXAMPLE I GET IT ON 30TH APRIL 2015, I HAVE WOULD HAVE SPENT ANOTHER ADDITIONAL 6 MONTHS, PLUS THE ORIGINAL 5 YR QUALIFYING PERIOD.

I HAVE RECEIVED THE COA WHICH STATES THAT I CAN WORK, ETC, BUT BASED ON THE ABOVE, MY APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION/BRITISH CITIZENSHIP IS BEING DELAYED BY 6 MONTHS.

SINCE THE HOME OFFICE IS TAKING UP TO 6 MONTHS TO PROCESS AN APPLICATION (MIGHT BE QUICKER IN SOME CASES, WHAT EVER THE TIME IT TAKES), DON'T YOU ALL THINK THE EEA 4 PR SHOULD BE ISSUED STRAIGHT AFTER EXPIRY OF THE 5 YR RESIDENCE CARD AND NOT ON THE DATE THE APPLICATION IS SUCCESSFUL AND PR IS GRANTED, AS WE ALL HAVE LAWFULLY FULFILLED THE CONDITION/RULE SET BY THE HOME OFFICE.

ANY CLARITY IS MUCH APPRECIATED.

THANKS A LOT.

hi need help
hi every1, got few question, i submitted my application,16 september.we filled eea4 application forms ourself, but as it does not say clearly that you need five years pay slips and five year tannery agreements or council tax.we just sent 6 months recent bills. as a result they refused our application. my question is ,is it ok to ask HO for reconsideration. we got all the pay slips and p60 for last five years and council tax bills. and how much time they take for reconsideration. we already lodged appeal. thanks

i applied for PR 15th sept 2014.

With
Eu spouse PR
my passports
and just prove of residence for 5yrs for both.just got it.

what i dont understand is i got 2nd EEA2 issued june this year.old one was from 2009 to2014
And decided i qualified for PR.
so i applied and becos i requested my passport back while i applied for eea4 they put on A4.

so i now got 5 yrs EEA2 (on passport)
and PR 10yrs(on A4paper)

Can it be a problem havin this?

Hello behold2014

I don't think that having both will be an issue. Just take them with you if travelling or anywhere that you might need to show proof of residence/status. Don't forget that there's a record for all these things.

Best wishes

Hiya

I was just saying that the fact that your PR is on a paper and not in your passport makes no difference.

Nothing to worry about.

Hello guys,

I am posting this to check if anyone sent his/her EEA4 application in Aug/Sept and still waiting... I sent my EEA4 app in September 2014 with 5 years of address proof and my EEA spouse's PR card (issued in June 2014) along with her passport...

Many thanks in advance.

Hello all,

I have been granted with a PR (10 years) on Oct 5th, on the basis that I am a family member of a EU national (my wife is Polish). Over the course of the holiday we have decided to separate and she will be going back to Poland to be with her family.

Will this in any way affect the PR that was issued to me?

Your advise is greatly appreciated.

Hi stefjm,

No, it would not affect your status at all sunce you have been granted pr and are considered settled.

Thanks KKUK,

It sounds like a simple answer then? I have asked the immigration advisers I used to submit my PR application the same question and they are assuring me that it's not a simple yes/no answer, and they want me to pay them for an advise session. I don't know if they are just trying to take advantage of my lack of knowledge one the subject or if it is genuinely more complicated than then.

Just want to make sure I prepare myself if required!?
