i think if the assessment exceeds 6 months, you are eligible to write a formal complaint.

All,

Called them (HO) again today and they confirmed that they def sent something through the post as "sign for" on 18th Aug, they can't say what it is, they can't say whether is approved or refused...all my orig docs are there, my entire life is there...
To add to my stress sign for is something one would usually get next day according to royal mail in a telephone call today...and that the only way of tracking it down is once it has been signed by someone here in my house they put it on the internet as proof of dlvry...in the meantime there is no other way of knowing anything...if its gone missing then royal mail will refund me with 10 post stamps! so basically I've just exchanged all my orig docs incl passport, payslips, letter of employment, univ degree, bank statements, etc to some dodgy royal mail employee who then will sell it for a few quid to let somebody else in the country and all I'm gonna get is TEN stamps (much rather sell my soul to you know who!)! I mean I have always trusted the mail but one tend to hear so many things about identity theft and gangs operating from within royal mail...I'm about to have a heart attack!
oh my Goddddddddddddddddddddddddd

Anybody been through the same situation??? I know I'm over reacting and that its only early days but you guys know how frustrating this feels...specially when they told me it was already sent...I was ok until they said that because I knew where my stuff was...but now that its in the middle of nowhere I'm very, extremelly, utterly worried...

waking up very early tomorrow again to wait for the postman! at whatever time he decides to show up...today was after 12...the day before 9:30 so who knows he might turn up tomorrow at 10...bless him

Well, thanks to the number! Finally got through. Was told decision has been made, waiting to be dispatched! And no more information afterwards. No matter what I said, she just refuses to tell me more information. Gosh, all this really makes me frustrated and angry and powerless!!!! Anyone has experience how much longer it will take after it's awaiting for dispatch??

Gemma

You were lucky, I have been in the phone to them for the last week or so and still hasnt been told a decision has been made...

I think you just gotta wait just like me, I know the whole thing is nerve wracking but there's no other option but to wait...

Be patient because after the decision is made, they have to issue your visa and attach it to your passport, among other things, only then they send it to you

all the best and keep us posted!

Hi everyone, status update. Called HO for application update.. Told my family has been grant PR.we were given on Thursday. Document has been sent out :D :D :) :D :) :D . Best xmas gift ever..

Application timing

May 2010: Application sent
June: Application rejected and rejected for missing information.. Never got form. Application held at Royal Mail for 1 month
July: RM sends application back to HO
July: COA received
Nov: told by HO application is being considered
Dec: HO advised application in final stage
Toiday; Ho advised PR granted on thursday and passport sent out back to me.
Counting from July when they got appication returned back by royal mail to now: 4months 1week.
From my point of view, i believe if you re told "Application in final stage" it means you've been sucessful and you passport needs to be stamped.
Best xmas gift. I give all glory, honour and praise to the most high God, whom all things are possible through. good luck everyone.

Hello all, I'm in same dilema with the HO, really hoping they process eea 4 application within 5/6 mths. Applied 04/ 08/10. Received COA 24/08/10. I have been following up this discussion board and from what I read I believe they are dealing with july applications, so hopefully by the end of this mth or next mth I will receive some good news. I'm this bothered because this is actually my second application, the first was in 2008, went for 2 appeals this year and was advised to reapply with all the needed documents instead of going for the 3rd appeal since the court will not consider fresh evidence. Was happy when I got a COA as it shows documents are complete this time . My company has been patient with me since 2008 but it seems they are running out of patience, hence I need my PR so I do not loss my good job. Do anyone here know what I can do to help fasten this process?

Hi, so sorry to hear u've had to go for 2 appeals. Have u tried contacting them for an update? I bored them with constant phone calls. :D :D .
Also, put application forward before God and ask for his divine favour, cos whoever he favours no one can disfavour as he is the ultimate caseworker. He did mine and definately can do yours. I am very sure you'll hear good news soon

Hi Folks

Just an update regarding my application without Solicitor

Applied for EEA4, I have got my documents back with the PR on Saturday 11/12/2010

Application for EEA4 and EEA3: 20/07/2010.
COA Received on: ../ 08/2010.
Called home office they said it’s on the Final Stage: 06/12/2010
Checked post office system, dispatched on the 07/12/2010
Collected my documents on Saturday 11/12/2010
The residence was granted and stamped on the 19/11/2010.

So the duration to get the residence was 3 months and 29 days, very good.

UKBA are dealing faster these days, I hope that the duration will be more faster in the future.

Next step is BC in April

For those who are still waiting:

I wish you all to get your documents with a positive response very soon before New Year.

Guys just keep chasing and never give –up.

Good luck to you all

Hi
Mine appllied 20th of july, maybe yours will be very soon, but I've always managed to get in touch with the HO just try to call early in the morning between 9AM to 10:30 option 1 and then after option 2 and you'll be on the queue for sure you'll get someone to answer your call.

all the best
