Just thought I'd pop in to share:

Application sent to home office : 11/07/11
Application received by home office: 12/07/11
Certificate of application received: 29/07/11
Certificate of application date: 20/07/11
Letter from home office requesting additional documents received: 05/08/11
Letter from home office requesting additional documents date: 02/08/11
Additional documents sent to home office: 08/08/11
Additional documents received by home office: 09/08/11
PR received: 27/08/11
PR stamp date: 10/08/11

All in all, the whole process took 6 weeks I wasn't expecting to receive my passport back until sometime in late October or early November going by other people's experience in this forum, but I guess my application was pretty straightforward. I didn't use a solicitor, just submitted everything myself. Good look everyone who's going through the process
Thanks really impressive. Please can you advice what documents have you sent in order to get so quick response. It really helps people like me as i need to apply in November this year and my case is also straight forward. i.e. Wife working more than 5 year with same employer, living in the same address for 5 years etc. I want to get advice from your experience. Would be appreciated.
Hi,

Sorry for the late reply. The documents I originally sent with the application were wage slips, P45's, P60's, bank statements, civil partnership certificate and some utility bills for the last 5 years. The additional documents they asked for was more evidence my partner was exercising treaty rights for the years of 2006 and 2010 and proof that I had been in the UK for 5 consecutive years, something that the application does not ask for (the application only asks for evidence from the EEA national), so I sent my P60's, wage slips, employment letter and bank statements for the past 5 years.

Hi Vardon, congrats again on getting everything sorted so quickly!

Just wanted to clarify something though. On EEA4, the treaty right evidence is all about your EEA partner, but EEA4 does ask for proof of residence for yourself. This is shown in Section 7, where you must detail every date you were not in the UK, and also in section 10 page 20, "as evidence of residence in the UK by you... ...this can include tenancy agreements, utility bills, etc."

Also, I'm in the same position as you (recently submitted EEA3 and EEA4). Can I ask what nationality you are? I'm wondering if UKBA give less scrutiny to certain nationalities.

Thanks Vardon78,

So it means I also need to send MY (non-eea) employment history (i.e. P60??

Hi pinkpanter. The EEA4 form does not mention P60's or wage slips as valid evidence of residence in the UK. It does mention utility bills, tenancy agreements, and bank statements - the last two of which are what I used to prove residence. They don't care about your employment history, just the fact as to whether you were resident in the UK for the required length of time.

My history:

EEA3+4 applications sent on 13 July 2011

Recieved by Home Office 14 July 2011

COA dated 22 July 2011
COA recieved by 2nd class 5 August 2011

PR for EEA4 and EEA3 recieved 14 October 2011
Both PRs dated 14 September 2011

The whole proces took 3 months and 1 day from the sending of applications. I was soooo happy as I did not think it would arrive so quickly. I wonder why they kept it for a month before sending it back?

Good luck to all my other comrades. :D

Any new update for PR applications? Seems like the RC Thread is more active than the PR ones.

I know I'm very inpatient. Anyone got good news recently?

seputus wrote:Hi all.

I sent an application for EEA3 and EEA4 together. Here's what happened so far:

17/08/11 - Sent EEA3 + EEA4 to Home Office (1.3kg of documents - I included a special delivery return envelope w/ extra postage to support the weight)

09/09/11 - I called the UKBA to enquire as to why I hadn't yet received any Certificate of Application. I (non-EEA national) explained my employer was looking for it. They said they'd send an enquiry to the appropriate team.

16/09/11 - I received the Certificate of Application for EEA4 (dated 09/09/11!). My partner also received their passport and document confirming permanent residence (EEA3) ! Interestingly, all documents were sent by recorded delivery (not using the prepaid envelope I supplied which I hope they'll use for my passport)

So, point is - EEA3 received in 1 month!

EEA4 still pending... I really hope mine will be coming very soon! Given that they've confirmed my partner has PR and we have been clearly married more than 5 years, it should be very straightforward....... So I think!
I got it today !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :)

So here's the updated timeline:

17/08/2011: Sent application to UKBA
16/09/2011: Received COA issued 09/09/2011
24/11/2011: Received confirmation of EEA4 issued 21/10/2011

So 1 month for COA, and 3 months 1 week altogether!

And can I just say, mine wasn't what I think was such a straightforward case... Suffice it to say I have a refused entry signal/mark from the UK in my passport from 2003, but I was worrying over nothing.

Thanks so much to all the people on this forum! It made the torturous wait somewhat bearable! :)

congrats everyone got their pr recently!

looks like the September application is coming through now. Just really surprise me that it took the UKBA nearly a month from issuing to having them sent back.

Waitin gis really killing. I have been through this a couple of years ago, when I had to wait for 7 months, while battling with my employer to prove I can leagally work. really don't want to repeat the history

Hi guys,

I've received my COA today, therefore mine timeline so far is

Sent on 03/11/2011
Received on 04/11/2011
COA issued on 22/11/2011
COA Received on 25/11/2011

What I am worrying about is that it is an joint application of both EEA3 and EEA4, however, the COA is only issued to me not my EEA husband. Can anyone share the experience of joint applications?

Many thanks!
