My question is that can I still travel when my application is still pending? I still got 3 years left on my visa after retained right of residence (ROR). Your response will be well appreciated.
I think you can still travel as the old visa is still valid.
I am sure they'd have sent you pr by the time you return from your journey.
All the best.

hello

EEA4 sent special delivery 3/7
Received by HO 5/7
£65 payment taken 7/7
Letter requesting biometrics dated 10/7 Received 15/7
Biometrics provided 15 /7
I HAVE NOT RECEIVED YET ACKNOWLEDGEMENT LETTER
I HAVE NOT RECEIVED COA.
I have been reading in previous post that usually the COA arrived 15 days after the biometrics are provided.
I HAVE CALLED TODAY TO THE HO asking about the Coa as well as requesting my passports back (due a trip i have to do at the end of the month) i was told how to get the passport back ( i did it on line) but when i asked about the Coa just a email address was given to contact them. my concerns are that even i will get my passports back in 10 days i still will need the coa, because my residence card runs out the end of september, so im concern about having problems when i come back to the country but a RC nearly to expire an no COA. Does anybody know how is the maximun time to expect the COA to be issued? or any other way ( phone number or so) to know if the COA has been already issue?
thanks

Hi

I've been reading the forum since I've applied for PR card and want to share my timeline:

I am non-EEA nationality
Submitted application on the 06 March 2015
COA dated 14 March
Passport required back 14.07.15 for travelling. Received 23.07.15
PR issued 04.08.15 on the Immigration Status Document (A4 format) :).

I wish good luck all who are waiting their PR cards.

Good morning forum members and respected gurus!

I'm here to share good news, I received my PR yesterday 20th of August.

My timeline:
19 Mar '15 - Docs send
20 Mar '15 - Docs received by HO
24 Mar '15 - Acknowledgment e-mail
02 Apr '15 - COA received with right to work
01 May '15 - Requested pasport back for work trip
12 May '15 - Passport Received
20 Aug '15 - PR received, dated 17 Aug '15

I retained my right to reside in April 2014 after having my divorce finalized in January same year.
If you have any questions, I'm happy to answer them.
Thank you to this forum, as I learnt most of the bits and pieces reading it for the last 1.5 year in regards my RoR and PR applications.

So finally I should be receiving my PR next week.

As long as you have valid RC you can travel.
I retained my right to reside in 2014, so I was granted new RC expiring in 2019.
I made two work trips while my PR application was under consideration - to the U.S. and Singapore. Only once when crossing the UK border I was asked questions about my status, but I had retention letter (which I presented) and was recommended to use UK/EU line next time (which tbh I've never done).

Two points that I'd like to bring to the attention:
1) the application requires you to send the photocopies of all originals, which I had done. Surprisingly I received those photocopies back. I was under impression that those photocopies will be kept by HO and you'd get back only originals, but it seems like that's not the case.
2) I advise you to prepare your application in very accurate and neat manner - clearly separating sections of supporting docs and possibly create "contents" page on your folders in give clear indication what is where. All my application - first RC, ROR and PR - were done the same way as I mentioned and it's never taken longer than 5 months. In fact I received my ROR in less than 3 months.
Hope this helps.

I'm same as you Arthur. what documents had you submitted with your application mate?
Have you sent same documents for ror + your treaty since divorce up to date?
I send my application few days ago based ror, I have just provided my biometric today.

Hi Indianlonly,
I submitted all three years worth of self-employment docs and proofs of my ex when I submitted my ROR application in 2014. I knew that I only needed to provide her treaty rights proofs during divorce proceedings up to Decree Absolute along with cohabitation proofs, but I decided to be on a safe side and sent everything.
So this time around I simply added my P60s, extra payslips, employment contract and some bank statements and send my PR application (3kg of paperwork). Everything was returned back to me by HO with the decision.
If you submitted all necessary proofs for your ex from the date of the marriage to the date your divorce got finalised, then you should be fine mate. As I can see from the files I got back, HO was going through my ex's self-employment paperwork quite intensively, while my employment docs are almost untouched.

@kkba no news, I applied 1st April as well. I called last week and was told they can't give any information until it's six month. I think about this every moment of my life. All I want is a PR right now, after spending 9years of my life in this country.

Hi Anyone

I have applied on 08/01/2015 for eea3 and eea4.

refused on 22/05/2015 because we did not provide sufficient self employed income documents, we send some invoices but not all, we appealed and hearing date is 28/01/2016.

my question is it important that me (non eea) and wife (eea) must appeared in first tier tribunal or only a barrister/lawyer can represent us there?

Thanks
Akz

Hi guys...received my passport back with an RC instead of a PR...really frustated after waiting 5 months.

I sent a letter back asking for an explanation. I believe it has been an admin error, if not, i have included why i think and the documents that supports the issuance of a PR.

Anybody had this situation before? What was the outcome?

Well done Rods.
Hopefully you can sort out the PR soon.
Applied on the 2nd of April so hopefully should hear some good news in the next 2 weeks.
Anyone with similar timeline as mine?
Please share.
