She did inform the home office about the separation but we lived in the same flat. it was on off relationship from the start. she supported my application for PR with her cover letter stating clearly that she wants to continue with the marriage and I got the PR approved on July 2015. now she is back with this guy and would like to get decree absolute from the previous decree nisi. she is very determined to revoke my PR and this time also she informed the home office. I am worried that home office will assume that our marriage is for convenience. which is not. we have been together for 9 years. she is playing mind games with me to keep me under her shoes. I am worried and confused and stressed. any help plz
my case is not straight forward that is why I am bit worried.
you have nothing to worry about mate. PR means you can continue to live in the UK as settled individual. It can only be cancelled if you stay away from the UK for more than 2 years.

you have nothing to worry about. HO cannot revoke your pr as long as you are clean so divorce is nothing and cant affect you at all. she is just hot like a fire and also putting herself into trouble by informing HO to take it away from you . HO might red flagged her on the system. You already crossed the hard path mate so relax and keep smiling.

Same with... My EEA family was working full time and and also studying from 2010 till 2013 with no cis. We never heard about this CIS thing so now I don't know what to think cos it is already 8weeks we applied together on the same form. Let hope for a good news

Lana23, sorry that your PR got rejected but thanks for raising this issue. I hope it all goes well for you.

Divine25 Ally007 my husband too was working full time while completing his PhD (but was registered only part-time), so don't know what rules would apply or if they would even pick that up. Good luck with your applications.

The CSI thing is insane and not publicised nearly enough. For people who come to the UK purely for further education (regardless of whether they have the intention of staying or returning home afterwards) it is understandable and I'm sure their home country will somehow give them information about the requirement for CSI.

I was born in an EEA country to a British mother who moved back here when I was under 2 years old. I spent my whole life here and neither of us had any idea that I was required to have medical insurance while I was in further education! It doesn't matter as such now, as I've been working for more than 5 years now, but it's crazy to know that my entire time in the UK (my whole life!) up until then did not qualify towards PR because of not having CSI.

Do you mean your husband was registered as a part time worker or part time student? I don't even know why i mentioned school thing in my application.. Gosh.. What if we withdraw the application and reply again by filling another application and resend it? I don't care about the fees to be honest but I don't want to be refused at all. Did you receive appeal from the HO? what steps are you need to take now?

Hey Carling,

I haven't received my COA yet, I applied on 5th Nov. But looking at BOA's timeline, he/she received COA in 2 months time after sending application and still received PR in 4.5 months, so I wouldn't worry about the COA.

Cheers!

Hi mbist, I hope it doesn't take 2 months! my job depends on it and my employer is getting rather crabby and want to carry out an ecs check with the HO. It doesn't help my residence card runs out in a few weeks. This biometric require is a pain rather than a gain.
Would you be kind enough to update me when you receive it so I can try to manage my expectations?

I applied my eea4 visa application on June 2015. Now, I received another questionnaire form from home office, one for me and one for my wife. we did send cover letter and all the required documents at the time of application filling. Is this the normal process to fill the questionnaire or is it just for some cases? what will happen next, do they gonna call us for interview or the home visit? I called home office regarding this but they refused to answer any of my questions. I am so frustrated and worried what will happen to my visa application. I would really appreciate help from respected gurus and members.

kind regards

I just applied today as a non eea family member for PR.
My partner is not living with me anymore.I got my 5 years residence card on the basis of two years relationship akin to marriage.I submitted only four years tenancy agreement proof plus comprehensive insurance.I am not sure whether I will get visa or not.I am just waiting and finger cross.I am not sure how long will it take.

@ Daniel2010. nope, nothing to update bro. I am still waiting. I kind of enjoy the waiting game now my friend. at least it gives me some kind of high every morning when the postman arrives. I am praying every single minute but my prayer is not heard by temple, mosque, church whatever it is in Liverpool. I think the god in Liverpool is very strict. at least when I apply for RC, 5 years back, the Croydon god were pretty flexible. this time God changing there address from Croydon to Liverpool is making it more complicated man. I don't know how to impress them god in Liverpool. I have done everything and now just waiting for them to approve my PR card. Honestly, the only two alphabets I like in English language is P and R, which happens to be my wife's initial as well. good luck to everyone who are waiting and congratulations to them lucky ones who received.

Hi cubinec,
Not sure if you saw my previous reply to you. Copied below:

Congrats for your PR which you got in 5 months. I applied on 5 Nov and hoping to get it on time.
With regards to your non EU wife's visa, I am in the same situation, divorced from EU wife, now married to non-EEA wife, waiting for my PR, then we will apply for her visa from her country. You should follow this link:
https://www.gov.uk/join-family-in-uk

The form will have to be filled in online and docs to be submitted by hand/ post. remember that she might have to give an English test costing around £130 and also pay a NHS health surcharge which is around £600 annually. Check in the link as it depends on the country of application.

That doesn't sound good - about your employer.... I shall keep you updated when I receive my COA, most of the people have received within 40 days of applying it seems, so hope we receive it soon.

Hello all,

A quick question : when does exactly this 5 years of time period starts in order to apply for PR card ???
1) When EU member arrived in the UK, or
2) when EU member gets married in the UK, or
3) when Non EU family member gets RC visa ????

From
Non EU FM
