Now and soooooo confused! Tomorrow is going to be a week that we had been sending emails back and fourths and she is telling that I paid her for her to send my application and that I don't have to do or know anything but trust then.. It is frustrating!!!!!!! I don't know what to do.. Please keep in touch I'll do same
Hi Musical,
Ring them up and give them your reference number and someone will let you what is going on. Forget about your lawyer for now as they dont care about anybody.

Musica, I don't think the 6 months period starts from the date of COA recieved as there is no service level agreement for HO to send the COA to the applicant. In the HO link below, its mentioned as processing time from applying. Nothing on COA

https://www.gov.uk/government/organisat ... r-services

I'll contact my solicitor and check as well.

Why don't we contact HO directly after 05-Aug?

@ tolani, if by now they have not treated your application, its not too late then.

Send any additional documents to the address on your COA, with a covering Letter and with your HO reference number, they will link it to your application.

Make sure you use recorded sign for delivery service.
Give it few days, call them to double check, and they will ask for your postage ref number, to confirm they have linked it to your application.

I did same during my PR application, sent additional docs after three months, and was linked.
It came back with the rest of my docs when PR granted

I don't have a clue of what is going on.. Maybe to tell me that is reaching the six months and to talk about next step.. I don't know...

Hello ,

Hope you are all doing well . Well here is my story in short:

Sent my EEA4 together with my spouses ( EU national) EEA3 form on the same day. Delivered to HO the next day (23/06/16)
Payment taken the week after(30/06/16).
I have a question regarding CoA . Almost 6 weeks later still no letter, no email, no CoA - nothing at all!! My partner on other hand has a email with reference number from HO but not me  Have you guys received it ?! : :| how long did it take on average?
My employer urgently needs to see prove of right to work in UK or else I am losing the job that I love :|
I spoke couple of times with those at HO to be told " that we are not sending CoA anymore " ?!!
Can this be true - I seen other things here on forum.
Did anyone here requested a CoA from HO ? Any email, phone number would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Benito11

@ benito, u will not get coa if u haven't done your biometric, as non-European.
I noticed you have not done biometric yet according to your time line.
You may need to chase your biometric letter for enrolment first, by calling them and also try by emailing.

Tolani01 I hope you are right and that will be the case!! But I really think is to talk about my application reaching the 6 months, because we been having disagreement about that... But I'll let you know guys on Tuesday. Benito11 I also agree with smallpie about your application normally you have to received biometric in order to get coa. Best of luck for everyone.

@ small pie ,

I did suspect this a bit tbh :| The point is, those on the phone line are so unhelpful and ineffective

Did anyone here ask for biometrics?! What phone number and email or address did you use?!

@ benito,
Am not sure of email address to use, but am sure if u search thru the forum, u will find one. Similar cases as yours has been on here before.
But i still suggest u call the same number, u have been calling, u will definitely speak to a different person each time you call, try to be nice over the fone, and tell your purpose of calling.

If i find useful email address, will post here for u.

Hello Everyone!

I have submitted my PR application as a family member of an EEA national together with application form for document certifying permanent residence of an EU national (my partner).

We have submitted original documents as guidance requires you to do so. Our application included all relevant documents, bank statements, bills, pay slips, tenancy agreements, evidences that we have been living together etc. My partner has been exercising his treaty rights in the UK for almost 15 years. In our application we have only covered the last 5 years. The first three years of the last 5 years my partner was medical student with some part time employments as a researcher. The last two years he has been employed by NHS. I am in full time employment for the last 7 years. We both have included letters from employers, payslips etc. We have also provided his EHIC card as comprehensive sickness insurance covers the time he was student and still valid.

We have been together for 7 years, 5 years in civil partnership. He is Italian and i am Turkish. We have always lived together so we had no problem putting evidences together.

It has been very laborious exercise as ever and our package weighed 5 kilos!! Costing £50 to post including self addressed envelope.

I am slightly concerned as after the Brexit every European friend i know who lives in UK is applying for document certifying permanent residence. Would this cause further delays?

The idea of all this is exhausting. Especially in the very beginning like today when you know this will take long time with nightmares.. I was here at the time i had made my application for Residence Card 5 years ago and had a great support by then. I have silently followed the forum. Now back again for longer ride!

Good luck to everybody who are going through the same process.

It is taking longer than i expect.
I changed my job a month ago and provide them my COA. COA issued on 13th March and it was valid next 6 months (13th September) as it says. But when my employer contacted HO visa checking service they confirmed my legal status until the end of December 2016. My employer said I don't need to provide any evidence till than.

Do you know why it is valid for 3 months more? I think they were expecting increased number of applications so instead give me another right of work letter they give 3 months extra to my HR dept.

EEA4 Application: (Wife already has PR(EEA3) since Aug15)
Application Sent: 18th Feb 2016
Payment taken: 24th Feb 2016
Bio Received: 2nd March 2016 (Done on 3rd)
COA Received: 16th March 2016 (Dated 13th March)
Passport Requested: 8th May 2016 (Not Received)
Passport Return Inquiry: 20th May 2016
Passport Received: 27th May 2016

It depends if the application for privilege of citizenship is made under section 6(1) or section 6(2) of BNA.
If s.6(1) it also depends on when PR was actually acquired (the PR/settled status not necessarily the DCPR).
