EU settle status

Hi there, i have applied for my settle status on 17 jan 2022 and i still haven’t received my settle status could anyone tell me how long does it take because my son is born on 29 jan 2022 and i wanted to apply his first british passport Can i apply his passport with COA(certificate of application)?

You won't be able to apply for a British passport for your son as he was born before you received Settled Status, and therefore is not automatically British.
The COA only confirms you have applied, not that you have been approved. Many applicants are waiting for months to be approved.
