Hi everyone.
When the actual processing time starts for these applications? The time you submit it or when you do your Biometric... I submitted mine in April, did biometrics in May after few days received the CoA.. And one week after got email to provide further evidence... Which I already provided but still waiting for outcome... Involved my Mp as well. Did several calls & emails.. Still same response that it's in process keep checking email. I am waiting for 5 months now if the Time starts from biometrics... Anyone else also waited or waiting that long?? It's so frustrating...

Write a letter where you posted the application and let them know your circumstances and it's been 4 months. Make sure the letter has a good voice. Just advicing if you haven't tried that.

@K, I received it on the 4th of October. 6 weeks after Biometrics.

Hi, I recieved mine 30th of Sept. In the COA its says " you will recieved a decision shortly" but the question is how long is that "shortly" a weeks a month or a year? 😂😂😂 we dont know. Some people here they havent recieved anything even coa for more than 2-3 months. This is really frustrating
Hi K, any news? A friend of mind that I helped submit the application just got his yesterday, barely 3 weeks and am here still waiting. It's so funny but such is life. Dont really get it and why there is so much delay. I said I wont call the resolution centre but at this rate, I think I will call to give them a small notch in my direction. The wait is killing.
Hello my friend. Havent heard anything from the HO. Did your friend applied after you? I am planning to call the EU settlement resolution before the end of this month if I havent recieved the decision. Try to phone them, and please let us know what they advised regarding your application. I will post mine once I called them.
Hi K, yes he applied in September, everything from application to decision is about 3 weeks. I will try and call them too, anything I hear, I will update. Hoping for the best for us.🙏

Hi Tifotofo
You only need to do Biometric once, so if you ever held a BRC or RC in the pass, that will suffice. In face when you submit your applicant it would have prompt you immediately to book for Biomectrics appt if you needed one.

I hope you hear from them soon, I myself is waiting over a month now.

My Mp has sent them letter on my behalf explaining my situation..and they responded to him that the case is in its final stages and some cases takes longer than other etc... I think they Will come up with similar response to all queries via phone, email or letter.

Similar response.. They are telling me for past 2 months that the case is with senior case worker and in its final stages.. But question is how long this final stage last... As if I look at my application submission date than its already been 6 months.. But I think they count the time when you do the biometrics... Even than it's been 5 months..

How did your MP contact them? Did you contact them via post before giving your case to MP ?

When did you submit and when did you get your biometrics? After how many days?

You send the letter to the same address where you posted your application to.

Don't forget to mention your case number and other relavent information. It will be good to state that why you want to expedite your application?

Research on there forms as well that when they usually send the correspondence.

Hello guys ,
I have question to ask if any of you from thier experience can please answer.

So I am a Canadian national married to a german citizen and we will apply for pre settlement scheme tomorrow. I have 6 month eea family permit which is expiring on 24th Jan 2020. If I dont get the pre settled status but I do get COA, can i continue staying in uk after jan 24th based on COA or do I have to leave uk and apply for eea family permit while my application is still in process for pre settles status.
This is all based on if I dint get the status in 3 months timeframe.
Thanks!!

Under EU rules, you have a right of residence that doesn't depend on your family permit. The permit is just an acknowledgement of your existing right to enter and stay (not that airport staff in practice always see it as optional, unfortunately).
After Brexit though, anything goes. But if we get an extension, then you're definitely fine to stay.
-----------------------------------------------

My husband (US national) and I (Belgian national) returned to the UK 3 days after we got married in Vegas - he had no visa / BRC / ... He had previously entered the UK on a tourist visa and stayed for just under 6 months.

We got to passport control at the airport and they checked the passports, asked how long my husband would be staying - he answered permanently as we got married. The person replied "oh you should have said", looked at the passport again and let us through.

A week later, we went to Belgium by car for the weekend - again they just looked at the passport and let us through in to France and back in to the UK the next day.

There is currently no legal requirement to have a document to prove your entitlement to be in the UK if you are married to an EEA national - you could even work here etc without needing a BRC / family permit / ... Those documents will only make it easier to travel and work as they prove your entitlement, but there is no legal requirement to have them.

I am a non eu and spouse to an EU, I couldnt get a job because the employer need me to have a BRC/COA even just holding a family permit I wasnt able to get a job or even told them that I am the Wife of an EU. Yes it shouldnt be that we require anything but since the UK wants to leave the EU they are making this requirement.

Hi,

Can anyone show me a draft of how they contacted their MP? Cause I am not sure what to say/write to my MP.

I am a wife of an EU citizen. My husband has a Settled Status but he applied in March and got his status by mid April. I have linked my application with his and applied for pre-settled status so,

My Timeline:
a) Application submitted: 21st July
b) Biometric: 31st July
c) CoA: 9th Oct
d) Status: 9th Oct (after few hours receiving COA)

I have called the EU resolution centre numerous time and still got nothing, not even a CoA. Its been almost 2 months and I cant even start my job because of this because they keep asking for at least a CoA.
Updating my timeline

Contact MP they really HELP, anyone over 2 months should really try asking help from the MP. All you need is your name, adress (so MP are sure you are living in their area), application number and tell them how long you have applied for.

To be honest HO will maybe reply MP with the standard response “the application is with a senior case worker and in its final stage ..” .

That’s about it , they seriously need to reply us on our application, waiting a month not to mention 4 months!

Well my MP was very helpful even forwarded the message from HO. Technically, I believe its better to try every channel possible rather than thinking it wont help :) Then its feel like you have try your best. I hope you get your status soon!

Hi everyone,

So I have applied for me and my husband Eu settlement.

Me (EU citizen) :
Application submitted : 21 sept
COA : 21 sept
Decision : 8 oct

My husband :
Application submitted : 8 oct
Biometrics : 16 oct
COA:
Decision:

So we went today for the biometrics of my Husband, furthermore he don’t have any BRC, so the Eu settlement center told us that during biometrics, the first page of the passport is scan, so we don’t need to post it.
Now we are waiting for the decision to come... I hope it come fast as wherever he is going for job, they are asking him a BRC card 😟

Hello,

This board has helped me over the past month, so I just wanted to post my timeline in case it is helpful to someone else. I have been in the U.K on a Tier-2 ICT Visa since 2017 and recently married my EU spouse.

Applied Online (using Tier-2 ICT BRP): 28 August 2019
Mailed BRP: 6 September 2019
Received Biometrics Enrollment Letter: 18 September 2019
Biometrics at Post Office: 19 September 2019
Pre-Settled Status Granted: 17 October 2019

I did not receive any CoA in the process, but called the settlement center twice. They called me on 10 October 2019 to confirm that I was applying for Pre-Settled Status (not Settled Status).

I hope this helps others who are currently waiting!

Hi all
I have applied on 24/04/2019 and contacted my MP twice but I am still waiting for the decision.
The reply from H.O was the standard "the application is under consideration"

I spoke to them again this morning and they said that the case is with the case worker but they can not give me any further information.
They said that the case workers have many cases to go through and they will have to do it one by one.
They said I should give it another few weeks and call them again if nothing comes through.
It's taken too long already ☹️
