Hi all,

I just thought I would share my experiences / timeline of my application process (overall, it's been a very positive and pleasant experience)

Background: My wife is a non EEA national (we married abroad) who applied for the EU settlement scheme back at the end of March 2020.

She got the CoA in the middle of May 2020 (1.5 months from the point of application)

Last week (start of September 2020, 5 months from the point of initial application) she got her pre-settled status!

The visa she was on expired back in July, but thanks to the CoA she was able to stay around and keep her job.

To the members of this forum that took time out of their days to selflessly help me: Thank you very much, it really meant a lot and has a very real impact on people's lives!

To those still waiting for their decisions: I hope my post gives you some sort of guidance on what to expect, I know it can be a bit nerve wrecking at times! All the best!!
Thanks , it’s very inspiring !

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this topic thus far, they have been a source of comfort to me since I made my application for presettled status in February this year.

Yesterday, after waiting for almost 7 months, with several calls and a formal complaint made to the HO 2 weeks ago, my presettled status was granted. Below are my timelines:

On-line application: 18/02/2020
Biometrics: 24/02/2020
CoA received: 30/04/2020
Decision: 14/09/2020

hi
If you have complained through the complaint procedure online you should wait on the reply from the H.O.
It took them exactly 1 month to the day to reply to me.
I complained on 14-08-2020 and the reply came on 14-09-2020 and the complaint was "partially upheld".

Hello
Yes , i did use the online complaint form and I also had confirmation from HOme Office that my complaint has logged . HO will review and come back to me within 20 days.
So I will wait next week to see if I get any response. Hopefully there will be some movement !

Hi all,

I'm French and already had my EU Settled Status. My non-EU Australian partner just got her pre-settled status. Our relationship is based on a French Civil Partnership (PACS) which is recognised as a Mixed Sex Civil Partnership in the UK.
Long story short, it was a mess and the uk immigration services really undelivered at many steps of the process, but we got there in the end, in great part thanks to our local MP.

Application : 13/02/2020
Biometrics : 13/02/2020
CoA : 15/02/2020
Contact Local MP : 23/06/2020
Negative Decision ! : 07/07/2020 Case worker mistake triggering a Refusal of EU Pre-Settled Status
Application for Administrative Review : 08/07/2020
Positive Decision (Pre-Settled Status Granted) : 03/08/2020
Complain for BRC not received : 18/08/2020
BRC successfully received : 04/09/2020 It took 2 attempts and several call to TNT before we managed to get it delivered properly - terrible delivery service

If you want to read more information about my case, I've written a lot in this thread (page 2) : https://www.immigrationboards.com/eea-r ... 56-20.html.

Hope this helps and thanks so much for all the help on this forum, it helped so much !!

Best of luck to all!

Update
A decision has been made after waiting so long. Applied for pre settled status back in Nov 2019. A Lot of phone calls to eu resolution yielded nothing and I was stressing so bad.
I am very grateful that I received a decision yesterday and it was not the pre settled I applied for but instead settled (indefinite leave to remain ). 10 months of unsettled mental state. In the end the success is even more than 100%. This platform has been really helpful and for those who are still waiting i understand and acknowledge your impatient and distress but this is to reassure you that you can even get a decision beyond what you applied for so fingers crossed it will soon be your turn. Many thanks to you all.

Hey guys,

Could you please share a link to make a complaint for 8 months wait of their decision? I've applied on 9th February, I have contacted my local MP asking for help and still no results. I just have no clue why the process is taking ages if I already have a permanent residence card, which just needs to be replaced into the new one under the new rules. Simple.

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to share my time line of application for my wife who is non EU.

Application 3rd of March
Biometrics given 13th of March (luckily before lockdown!)
Chased up 13th Sept via solicitor and local MP
Decision received 23rd Sept. ILR received!

Good news finally. Not as long as some people here. But it felt like an eternity. Wife was key worker in NHS so not sure if that helped.
