Does anyone know why it takes some people 3 months+ to receive a CoA and others the day of when they go to get their biometrics?

My partner's waiting for his since Oct 4.

Hi!
I received a decision on pre-settled status on November 9th, it was granted. its been 2 weeks but still havent received my biometric residence card.
Has anyone experiences that? And how long after receiving a letter with the decision you received a card in the mail?

Ah, that's exactly what they told my partner when he called! They said there was a glare on his BRP so maybe you experienced something similar. I'm not sure why it takes so long to verify identity...

Hi,Incase you have not yet made a formal complaint to the home office about the delayed decision,I suggest you do because it seems many people on the forum made complaints and got home office moving on application. I made a formal complaint a few days ago waiting for response, meanwhile am going to call the resolution centre again!!

Yes I did make a formal complaint addressed to team leader(if email is forwarded to him) and am going to begin calling them once a week maybe the caseworker responsible might react coz I don’t know how many thousands of files at his or her desk….Fingers crossed!

Do you think so? I was gonna ask my local mp to follow up with my case, but then I read it on this website that its pointless and also HO will flag your application since an MP was involved :?
So I thought maybe just wait. I remember I had the same issue for my PRE SETTLEMENT. But after, numerous calls to the EU resolution center, they left a note for the case worker and I was granted the next day. But if you ring them now, they ask you to wait and they dont do much.

I agree calling the resolution Center and finding a kind person on line could influence the case worker to make a decision but the problem is often times the person on the phone sounds unfriendly, mostly the
Females….Thanks for updating about the Mp intervention…the point you raised makes sense about flagging.
Let’s keep waiting and hopefully this month we get good news

Update guys:
Got my pre settled status approved today
COA received 17th October, 2021
Approval: 1st December,2021

I advice to still wait a bit before contacting them, they will surely work on it. I wish everyone on this journey all the very best, it shall end in praises.

Hello. I am a non EU (Pakistani) citizen. My wife is a German (EU) national, living in the UK for the last 16 years and has a settled status (ILR) through the EU settlement scheme. Now I too am planning to apply for settled status in the UK through EU settlement scheme as a non EU family member of an EU citizen.

1. I was hoping if you could please explain the following statement that I read from GOV.uk:-
Who is eligible for the EU Settlement Scheme; you’re the family member of someone from the EU, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein who started living in the UK by 31 December 2020.

2. Can you please guide me through the whole process of obtaining settled status in the UK through this route. Do I have to first apply for EU settlement scheme Family permit and then again for the settled status?

Thank you

Raja,First things first…You need to apply for the EUSS Family permit and see if you qualify for the permit, once you get it,You must apply for the EU settlement scheme with in 3 months upon arrival in UK.

Our application FINALLY started moving only when we contacted our MP... so not sure why everyone's saying it would be flagged in a negative way?
