hi,
I am an EU with pre-settled status. My wife (non-EU) came with EUSS visa. Biometrics and CoA received end of December. We assume that she should be receiving BRC (otherwise she can not travel) and pre-settled status. How long did it take to receive BRC? Is there anyone that we should contact in order to check for BRC? thanks in advance

Does anyone know if my partner who applied who received a "no" answer and is undergoing administrative review can travel in & out of the UK? He has a valid Skilled Worker Visa still.

Hi,

Has the applicant received the decision/outcome of the application already? By the previous posts in this topic, it seems it has been taking a few months.

COA says how the applicant can check its immigration status. Probably the status is "COA" by this time, which means that the decision is pending.

The applicant can leave the UK while the decision is pending. If applicant got the SS Family Permit, I believe she can return to the UK with it.

Cheers.

After receiving the COA and before the decision, the status may be this:

Status
Certificate of Application

This Certificate of Application is confirmation that you have made a valid application to the EU Settlement Scheme.

Your status is valid until you receive a decision on your application or the outcome of any appeal on your application to the EU Settlement Scheme.

Congrats! That's really encouraging to hear, as our timeline/situation is roughly the same (we're a family of 3, EU wise, non-EU spouse [me] and EU child). We arrived February 2017 and applied to upgrade our 2019 PSS to SS just earlier this month.

Please could you share if the 4 of your received all your results around the same time/day? I've read of situations where applications for minors could take longer than their parents, even if they are "linked" to them with the UAN.

Hi thanks  our pre-settled emails were arrived with an interval of a week back in 2019 but this time (for settled status) on 34th day of our application we received 4 emails in an hour  hope you get your Settled Status soon, good luck 8)

Hi Everyone.

I wanted to share my husband's timeline for applying for the EU Settlement Scheme.

Applied for EEA permit on 22 June 2021& Biometrics submitted same day
EEA permit granted on 27 September 2021
Application for EU Settlement Scheme made on 06 December
COA received 28 March 2022 at 12:26pm
Decision to grant EU pre-settled status given 28 March 2022 at 14:42.

It is a long process with a lot of uncertainty for anyone applying for this visa. I wish you all good luck and if you need any other info please just let me know.

Thank you

Same for us in 2019; our 3 decisions back then came roughly in the span of a week. Hope we get to hear back on our upgrades soon and on the same day like yours; almost 4 weeks and counting for us. Wondering if ours will take longer than yours, as my wife didn’t have enough of a tax/NI record for 5 years and so had to upload documentary evidence. Reassuringly our 3 year old finally got her COA earlier this week.

Thanks again for sharing, and I hope I can do likewise with a successful outcome in the coming weeks.

Do we know approx how long is taking from CoA to receive a decision? My mum applied in Jan, 2022 and received CoA end of March, do we know approx how many days/months is taking after receiving CoA?

Also due to her being non-eu do we know if she is able to travel with CoA while Euss family permit has not expired? What about if Euss family permit expires?

Last, do we know if the euss application is considered as withdrawn if she decides to travel now, or is her status protected even if she isn’t able to return (to to expired euss) and she will be able to when the decision is made?

Does she need to be here to collect Brc or can a family member able to collect it?

Sorry for the too many questions…

If you read letter carefully;it states very clearly that travelling out is not advisable unless the EUSS family permit is valid.
Regarding receiving decision after the COA , it is unpredictable as I have seen people getting decisions after few days stretching to few weeks.

Lastly ; her biometric card would be delivered to the address provided .

Thanks for replying. Yes ive read it so many times that i know it from inside out :)

So if EUSS is valid she can travel within the validity period of EUSS. She is now stressed that from what we hear she shouldnt travel until she gets a decision.

Also, from what we hear from other forums they say it could take 3-6 months from CoA, which is crazy…

Thats why i wanted to see on average people that have applied in January have they got statue and how long it took so we know approximately how long it would take..

FINALLY!!!

Sorry, I don't have the exact dates on me at the moment:

Early Oct 2021 - applied for pre-settled status through my durable partner
Mid-October 2021 - biometrics
Early December 2021 - CoA received
Early December 2021 (literally a few hours later) - declined
Early December 2021 (a few hours later) - Admin Review
Early May 2022 - approved!!! (Right after our MP chased)
Early May 2022 (a few days later) - BRC arrived in the mail (email from TNT received)

27-03-2022 Application for Settled Status.
27-03-2022 COA
27-05-2022 Received a phone call from Home Office and was told that they won’t be able to give me Settled Status now only because my present residence card would be expiring early July. Then only I would be granted settled status. It’s when I’ve been with my partner more than 10 years and we’ve been living together since then. It’s frustrating because it’s less than one and half month left. They could have waited and then issued me but now I had to apply again and waited again for two or more months for settle status.

Applied for EU settle status from Pre settle status ( EU Spouse- received settle status last year)
COA 12/04/23
After number of calls to EU Settlement scheme visa section
Settled status received on 28/06/23

Its takes almost 2-3 months for the Non EU family to get through the process compare to EU family.
Hope this helps!
