Hi,
I have applied for EU settlement scheme on 6th July 2023 submitted biometrics by 12th July 2023 received the COA on 5th Sep 2023.
Now, as my visa as been expired and my passport got damaged and tampered so I have to come back to home country to change the passport which was important. Currently I’m in India where I received the COA.
Can I travel to UK with COA or I need to wait for the decision to come? Or can I apply for visit visa and go to UK with visa and wait for the decision there in UK with my partner?
Can anyone guide me please?

It's been 3 months since I sent the application, I still haven't received an answer, I'm still waiting, why do you think it's taking so long, I wonder if I'm the only one waiting for such a long time

I submitted marriage certificate and 5 years worth of council tax bills which were addressed to both me and my husband as proof of residency

Hi all, thought I'd post my timeline as well as I know there is not much info available online and maybe someone will find it useful.

Switch from pre-settled as a non-EU family member to pre-settled based on retained rights:
Application submitted: 28 June 2023
Posted BRP for ID check to HO: 1 July 2023
BRP sent back:10 July 2023
COA: 11 July 2023
New pre-settled status based on RR granted: 24 October 2023

Hello, here to share my timelines (still ongoing)

Changing from pre-settled to settled
Application submission date: 11 Dec 2023
As of today, still waiting and no news.

I'd submitted the usual documents as proof (eg. bank statements). Getting a bit worried now seeing that others who applied in January already have their status switched to settled. Not sure what's going on with mine and the Home Office won't say when I call them.

Here is my timeline from pre-settled to settled ( I am non-EU family member of EU citizen and applied more than a month before completing my 5 year residence)
Applied: 31st December 2023
Approved: 22 January 2024 (didn't receive COA but I contacted them to withdraw my application as I got paranoid and thought my application would get rejected - to which they replied that they'll cancel my application but after a week (to my surprise) I received approval letter)

Pretty straightforward for me and I applied more than a month before I completed my 5 years residence (I won't advise this for anyone tho)
This was because I read in one of the gov.uk page that "if a child of EU citizen was granted pre-settled status before they turned 21, they can apply for settled status as soon as their EU citizen parent receive their settled status without having to wait for their 5 years of residence to complete"

Good luck to everyone waiting :)

Thanks for sharing your timeline. I'm assuming you applied on your own/directly rather than using an immigration legal representative or something?

I was only asked to prove my relationship with my sponsor for which I uploaded my birth certificate I believe.
Didn't get asked any proof of residence or anything (maybe because I had a steady employment history)

Nope, no news at all. They tell me it's in the final stages (LOL) but honestly I'll be surprised if I hear anything before July at this point.
