Hi everyone,

This is my timeline regarding application for EU Settlement Scheme:

Eu Settlement Scheme Application: 21/06/2019
Biometrics: 11/07/2019
COA: 19/07/2019 (10:37 AM)
Decision: Pending

Anyone else here from Argentina? We might be asked to provide a more up to date (submitted a 10 year old translated copy of the marriage certificate), apostilled marriage certificate. Do we have to go to the embassy in London for it or can we deal with that via post?

That sounds like it has been over 6 weeks without a response. I'd make sure to give them a call and chase it up.

Im sure everybody knows this already but I've seen some comments that suggest people don't understand this.
Your application does not start from the date when you apply online. It starts from when you do your biometrics. So if you applied online in June but did your biometrics in July. That time in June does not count! Counting how long it has been since you applied starts from BIOMETRICS being submitted online (if done at a centre) or received by the HO (if sent by post).

What did your local MP's office say? Because I believe they can step in to help in this matter.

Hi All,

Anyone experienced issue with their application recently? I called when I realised that the EU Settlement Scheme was opened to Family Members of EU Nationals. My wife is a dual citizen by descent and I've been asked today to provide documentation updates as shown below:

To help us progress the application, please provide the following:

Evidence of your EU citizen sponsor’s UK residence as follows:

Evidence of five years continuous residence in the UK; and
Evidence that, since your sponsor completed five years continuous residence in the UK, they have not been absent from the UK for a period of more than five consecutive years. This can be one piece of evidence for each five year period since the end of your sponsor’s continuous qualifying five years.

I've provided the following documentation as requested:

- My Permanent Residence Documentation Page on my passport
- My wife's German Identity passport page
- My Wife's British Identity passport page
- Council Tax Bill
- P60
- Marriage Certificate

After submission, I've been told that I would need to complete a paper application as my wife is of dual nationality by birth.

Any advise will be greatly appreciated :)

Hi Guys,

I have followed this thread for a little while and it has equipped me with some information. I do have a question. I have been in a relationship with my EEA wife for about 9 years and we moved to the UK 6 years ago. We are currently going through some relationship turmoil and she's planning to leave the UK for good 2020 when her job contract expires and this has made her decided not to apply for the EU Settled Status.

My question can i apply for Settled status without her applying? Getting all supporting documents from her is not a problem but i have read that i need to provide her application reference number and this is what is making me confused. Do i need her application reference number ?

Please, i would like if someone in my shoes or had gone through same could provide how they went about it as i would love to remain here and keep my job when we finally end our relationship.

Thanks

OD

Hello all. My non-EU spouse (wife) applied online for Settled status on 30 June. The automated system said she would be considered for "settled status", which makes sense as she is already settled through ILR.

We submitted: ILR BRP, EU national ID of spouse (Greece), permanent residence certificate of EU spouse through EEA(PR) ('11-'16),
UK naturalisation certificate of EU spouse('18), marriage certificate('15)

She holds UK immigration law based ILR with BRP. She applied online and posted the ILR BRP as proof of iD, which was received on 2 July and returned on 4 July. She never held any BRC under Appendix EU or EU settlement scheme categories.

On 19 July (yesterday) she received Certificate of (valid) Application - CoA letter by email.

1. Would they request biometrics after CoA is issued? (she wasn't asked to submit them) - from what I read they request biometrics before CoA can be issued.

2. Does the CoA mean she will receive a new BRC card under this scheme?

3. Would she retain ILR BRP (uner UK immigration rules) along with Settled status BRC (under EU settlement scheme)?

Thank you and good luck to those waiting.

I think you can. It is either you link your application to hers or provide evidence of her residence in the UK. You might want to read again on gov.uk, I think it is quite clear there about your eligibility and docs needed to apply.

@odew

cookiemonster19 is correct. You can apply even if she didn't apply.

Just submit all the documents. I would advise to make a covering letter and explain everything in it. It will give a clear picture to the caseworker.

Good luck
{ I'm not a solicitor, legal professional or immigration advisor, all of my posts are based on my online search and my own PR, ILR (LR), 2 FTT and 2 UTT refused but finally after 3 years of long battle I got my SETTLED STATUS. }

I am trying to find an EFM to Settlement case. I have been reading this thread for hours but it contains only married and partners of EEA.

If you know about any case of Extended Family Member applying for settlement scheme, please let me know

I hope I get settle stattus, do they charge to transfer visa from biometric to passport,, cannot wait for that time to come in my life..

Should I call them if I don't, hear from them by 25. July.

My biometric done on 12.July,
I called them on 18 July., they said they have received my bio metric..

Please guide..

This forum is great...

I am pretty much sure you will get settled status. Just wait.

And when you will get a new passport. Just inform HO to update there record. As BRC and status are connected to your passport with which you have given biometric.

Good luck.

She is non eu but married to her husband with British Child ( her husband has limited leave to remain in the uk) the British child stays with them. Is she qualify for the eu settlement scheme? Thank you for your swift response.

Hello

I understand:

- She is non-EU
- Her husband is non-EU
- Their child is British

So, here they don't meet the eligibility requirement to go through the EU Settlement scheme route.
