For non-eu applicants who have completed the biometrics process under the eu settlement scheme, were you required to bring your passport to the biometrics appointment at all?

You necessarily have to. The application is linked to the passport.

I applied for my wife on 30th April. She holder of Family permit.
And after submitting iof the application she got information of biometric which was needed to be done. Which she had yesterday done on the 12th of April.

Sponsor is not needed, it's just biometric appointment. Just go to the appointment with the same identification used in application.

Thank you so much for your detailed answer!

I have applied for the pre settle status today (14/04/2019). I have some documents to prove my residency, as my tenancy contract - which I hope is enough.

As soon as I get my Biometric's appointment I will update on the schedule. :)
Thank you so much again!

Hi alespedro

I’ve arrived on January 2019 to the UK with declaring my situation, not as a tourist. I’m non EU and my husband is EU & living & working in the UK for 5 years.

We arrived together from Paris and I had no Family Permit or whatsoever. I entered as a Family member of an EEA citizen. They stamped my passport on arrival and I entered as settling purposes i.e. not visitor. (stamps says “admitted to the united kingdom under the immigration (EEA) regulations 2016”)

I’ve never applied to FP or BRC before, yet only applied to EU Settlement Scheme right after my husband. I got my COA & Pre-Settled Status within a week of application / Bio-enrolments. Now I’m waiting for BRC card. (I’m entitled to work as well and already working)

I believe if you can prove your residency in the UK i.e. bank statement, council tax or bills etc., you can by-pass FP or EEA Family Residence card applications and only apply to EU settlement scheme. Of course this is only what I’ve experienced with my current conditions you may prefer to get additional info from other sources.

Cheers

I am Non-EU Family member , Holding Tier 4 BRP.

My timeline:-
Applied on : 30/03/2019
Biometric done on : 11/04/2019
COA : Waiting

This is first time for me applying for BRC as a family member, i have uploaded my Marriage certificate, Police Registration and My BRP photo copy on the Application.

Do you think i need to send the original copy to the Home-Office ?
when they issue me the new BRC do i need to post my BRP ?

Thank you.
