Hi Duralex

Just a quick question. How come you received two emails from the HO confirming receipt of the application?

Many thanks and congrats.

Hi Rara,

I'm not sure why I did, I assumed it's one to acknowledge the online submission and the other to acknowledge receipt of my documents? There aren't many people who went the online route but it would be good to compare.

Hi Rara,

I've filled out the only application form last night around 9pm and today morning I've received an email that they got my application.

I only posted my papers , passport , photos today at 4.30pm.
So I assume that email only confirms that they got my online application.

Hope it helps :) G.

Many thanks both.

I submitted my online application 2 weeks ago. Documents followed 2 days after that. I've only got one email confirming receipt. I wonder if the second email received by Duralex makes any reference to the documents? Or does it have the same wording as in the first email?

Hi All, we also received the PR in less than 7 weeks.

We printed out the form (non-online method) and were worried it would be much slower than the online method but this was not the case.

Documents Posted; 4th February
Payment Taken: 10th February
Email Received: 11th March
PR received: 28th March

This was for a Polish EU national, living & working in UK for 10 years.

We had a concern that a period of 3 months of looking between jobs would "reset" the clock on residency due to not having Sickness Insurance but this was not the case for us.

Regarding documentation we supplied bank statements/payslips/utility bills, usually about 4-5 documents per year going back 6 years.

These boards helped us, Good luck everyone!

Hi, does the payment show under the reference "Euro" in your statements? Cause I have not received any confirmation that my application has been received etc. I bet they're super busy!

Hello everyone!
I am NON-EEA RESIDENT(INDIAN) and husband of an EEA resident(Polish) with PR. My timeline is as follows:
Application submitted: 30/09/2016
Received by Home office: 03/10/2016
Payment taken 05/10/2016
Biometrics enrolled: 17/10/2016
C.O.A received: 27/10/2016

Passports(mine and my EEA wife) requested: 25/03/2017
Passports received: NOT YET( as of 05/04/2017)

As per my amazing math skills(pun), the 6 month time-line has reached on the 30/03/2017. I have called the HO twice on an update and somebody did call me back just to say that my application was still in progress. This is causing me a lot of stress as I have been offered a highly prestigious job in the NHS and cannot accept it until I have my PR and documents back. I even sent an email complaining to COMPLAINTS@HOMEOFFICE.GSI.GOV.UK and there was an auto-reply asking me to wait for 20 days! Anybody else applied end of September/or October 2016 and still waiting like me? This is driving me nuts, more than I already am!!

Hi all... we've been patiently waiting for my partners Biometrics letter to arrive, but still have yet to receive anything. He desperately needs to start work again and I understand the COA should follow shortly after the BIO letter.

Here is the timeline thus far..

Non EEA for PR app sent: 08.03.2017
HO received : 09.03.2017
Payment deducted: 13.03.2017
Biometrics letter : ?
CoA received: ?
PR:?

It's nearing 4 weeks and still haven't had a confirmation email yet. We've emailed the BIO team and they sent back an email asking for recorded delivery number (a week after getting in touch), and despite responding promptly, we've waited yet another week to receive a reply.

Our lawyer included a cover letter which stated the importance of a COA to be issued as my partner has full residency of his British daughter.

Anyone had any success in chasing COA's, Biometrics etc? The only thing we found was the email which is a less favourable option.

Also, I recognise that two other members sent their NON EEA applications around the same date- have any received their Biometrics letter? many thanks

Hi missflmack,
It should arrive in about 4 weeks after application. Whilst i was waiting for mine, i couldn't work too as my RC had expired. Hold on to it, it will come.
As for the email, i guess non EEA applicants don't get one, i didn't either. Applied 30/09/2016 and still waiting for PR. Good luck

I've messaged the biometrics team who took over a week to reply, asked for special delivery number as there is 'huge amounts of applications at this moment' and they aren't being put on the system promptly.

I replied on Monday, after they wanted a reply, and we're now still waiting again. It all seems impossible. Hoping it arrives this week!

I find the wait ridiculous given the fact my partners been made to stop working. . And has full custody of a BRITISH child. How is he meant to provide for someone who a BRITISH COURT defended staying with his father is in the child's best interest as well as safety.

Sorry for the rant, I'm just perplexed by this country sometimes

Please keep us updated Tosin2017- we'll be following your application! Have you emailed the biometrics team yet? They're not very responsive so not sure you'll get much help!

Hi Tosin2017 and missflmack ,

Your employer cannot stop you from working. They are obliged to contact the home office through a new online service called "employee checking service " where your right to work will be confirmed by the home office stating a 6 months time period. And they state that if you do not get an answer from the application you can contact them again after the 6 months to issue you with another "right to work".

Below are my timelines:
My husband is EEA and I'm non EEA
Application sent 21st December
Application received 22nd December
Acknowledgment email 11th January
Biometric request 10th January
Biometric sent 16th January
PR Still waiting
Bio Acknowledgment .........................

Please ask any questions if needed.
