Pre-settles status newborn

Post by Kerasi » Wed Jun 23, 2021 2:59 pm

Hello Everyone,

Hope you are all well.

Quick question:

Me and my wife have pre-settle status.
A month ago we had a baby, should we do a separate application?

I tried to find an application from on gov.uk but no luck! Any links that may help?

Thank you in advanced.

The baby needs settled status, it doesn't get it automatically through you.
You probably need to ask for a paper application form if baby hasn't got a biometric passport yet.
Either contact the resolution centre or you may request one by email.

If it helps, for babies born before 1/04/21 - application deadline is 30/06/21. For babies born after 01/04 - three months after the birth.

The site isn’t really saying what to do if the baby doesn’t have a valid form of ID, hence we rushed to the embassy to get her passport ready.

We’ve applied online with my baby’s EU passport and are still waiting for the decision (almost 4 weeks).
