Hi guys, just to let you all know,

Yesterday (3/3/13) was the turn of the 6 months for my application, so I gave them a call today. All they could say to me was that:

"the application has not been completed", and that I" should keep waiting until the UK Border Agency contact me".

When I asked if there anything else that I could do or anyone else I could call or contact they just said no, and there is no more information that they could share to me.

So guys, if you are as unlucky as I am, then sit tight and brace yourself for a long waiting.

Cheers

Personally, i do not mind waiting as long as the outcome is Permanent Residence. What worries me the most is the long waiting with negative result. After all, we need to keep hope that pr is on it s way regardless of the wait.

hi, i rang them this morning, and i got the same answer like you. my application is not completed. i wonder whether it has been seen by a caseworker and the process needs to be completed or have not been touch yet. i feel i am one of the unlucky too. however, i am traveling end of this week, nothing i can do until i come back in April.

if your 6 months was up yesterday, why don't you complaint with UKBA. check their link on the website regarding complain. you can try this, if you want.

Hi Renu,

Yes I went to the website, but under the complains section they gave me several options where you should mark the one that applies to you, the thing is that there is only one which say "I want an update on the progress of an application" and when you click there it just send you to the page where is the tel number. But other than that I couldn't find any more info about how to get in touch with them about enquirers.

So if anyone else knows how please share the info.

And for you Renu, just go and enjoy your time abroad, hopefully you'll get your PR by the time you're back

what do they mean by "the application has not been completed", KNOWING THAT the COA states that the application should take up to 6 months?? i dnt understand this logic. In my case, my RC has already expired and if the HO wont deal with my application before the end of 6 month, i will be in serious trouble with my employer. i call this inhumane.

i did ask the person who i spoke to, she told me repeatedly the application is not completed, i don't know whether it has been touched and seenn by a caseworker or not. my COA is valid up to march. i can understand your worry. i wonder what is going on in that HO!!!!!

basically, the home office know that we depend solely on the EEA national, so whether we loose our jobs or not, it s not their problem. this is why the EEA3 takes less time to be decided. The most important person for them is not the EEA4 applicant so he or she can wait.

I checked other european forums and apparently applicants do mot have the hassle of waiting. Most applications are dealt with quickly and on time. Ukba jolds the destiny of some iimmigrants. It s unfair

I don't know what to do besides writing, emailing and calling HO.it's very unfair.are you going to try Your MP? I think it is too much sometimes that an applicant has to go out of the way,get help from third party to get a caseworker to do his job.applicant has to take all the stress and pressure.its terrible the Ukba system.

hi, i just tried it on the ukba website and it directs me onthe enquiries web page. it is no point to call them as they are not helpful. i wonder if someone on this forum can help to give us the email address for complaint. will be highly appreciated.

more than 6 months

Post by Eljoda » Fri Mar 08, 2013 9:43 am

Guys just to let you know that I spoke to the UKBA yesterday again (I'm just over the 6 month mark), this time was a nicer person, but with the same answer:

Your application has not completed (by them) and there's no way to tell how long it's gonna take to do so, "your application could be deal with tomorrow or maybe in 3 weeks, I'm afraid we can't tell", also told me, " EEA4 application take considerable more to deal with than any other applications, and more than 30% of them take longer than 6 month".

I told him that I need a letter that it says that I'm still waiting for a result to give it to my employer, for what he said:
"there is fax number where you've to send a letter, the number is: 01512131514, write the ref number, name, date of birth and your general details, and then just write that the application is over the 6 months and that I need an extension of it" then they should send you a new letter where is says that you're waiting for a decision.

For all accounts is good to know that until there is not a final decision on your case, your rights to live and work in the UK are the same that you had before sending the application.

Other than that, all they could said to me was to wait, and not to travel if my TRC has expired (my case).

So I hope this help you guy, and I'll keep posting as soon as I have more news

Cheers

My application will be 6 months by mid April.

At this point i'm not expecting anything as almost 5 months have gone by w/out a squeak from the UKBA except issuing my CoA fairly rapidly.

Surprisingly the wait so far hasn't been as aggravating as for my RC which back in 2008 took 8 months. My only wish is that I could be a spider in a corner of the caseworker's office observing how these applications are handled. I still do not think the average waiting periods reported here are justifiable or defendable.

For e.g. my husband's PR application took 2 weeks from start to end. Why has mine taken 5 months so far and counting? This, like many others, is the mystery unsolved.

Guys, I received my documents and PR today after all these months of waiting. They managed to send it back one day before it reaches 6 months, brilliant! Anyway, the thing is that just yesterday I called them and asked how my application was going, they said it was not completed yet. And here we go I received it this morning. So clearly the people behind the phone have no clue what is going on what so ever. As a matter of fact, in the last 4 weeks I have been calling them so many times, every time the answer is different. I have been told things like this by different people who answering the phone: ' you are at final stage' ; ' there is no such thing as final stage'; 'something has been sent to you this morning by second class record delivery'; 'sorry madam, the delivery was not meant to be sent to you, it's an internal error.' etc.... I was so sick and tired of all this rubbish. And then today it arrived!

I will still write a complain letter / email to them though. For me, they are hiring a brunch of people who have no clue about what they are doing!

Wish you all best luck.

I submitted my application on 10th Sep 2012. So less than 2 weeks to go before it reaches 6 months. I called the UK border agency on Monday 25th. After give them my reference number, the guy answered the phone said that it was still under process. But then he asked me to wait. When he came back to me, he said that something was sent to be that morning by second class record delivery. He doesn't know what's inside, but surely was to my address. He gave me the royal mail tracking number. By now, today is Thursday, i haven't received it yet. But fingers cross, hopefully i will get it tomorrow...
Hope this information helps. I will keep you updated once I receive whatever they were sending to me

Gong, congratulation mate, it s really encouraging to hear such good news. Like i said, the UKBA staff have no concern of helping applicants, they are in comfty position where they do not have to worry about our state of minds, we r just bunch of immigrants for them. Gong, the ukba staff remind me of supermarkets workers, u ask one them do have this item at the back and his answer cud b no, or we havent got it or he can just say delivery is late. He cud be right but im sure the item ur looking for cud be at the bak but he cant b bothered to look. Unprofessional staff
