Also if you have been issued COA that means HO have found the link of your relationship with EU citizen.

Dear Bunny47
Have you read it somewhere? That they Only Issue COA when there is nothing else needed for the application?

may I ask which documents you provided ? have you sent your EU partner Passport/ copy swell?
No i didn't submit my ex passport or id....i submitted bank statements and student loan statements covering 5 years
Thats ver good you received COA
Did you had RC issued before you applied for this settled status.
Actually i am in a kind of same boat. I never applied for RC now we are separated in very bad terms i was just wondering if i could too apply without my EU partners ID.
No i didn't get RC though i applied last year, it was rejected because she didn't give me her ID. Our separation was in a terrible state and we are currently going through divorce. Under this new EU settlement scheme, non of her iD is required except your marriage certificate and her full name and address. Then your proof of residence in the form of bank statements,P60, P45 and bills covering 5years for settled status.
dear Mr right
Any update on your status?

Still at this point and not a peep out of them. Less than a week left on my current visa and it’s all in limbo. Really thought my case would be straight forward.

I have the feeling the HO don't know what to do with me.

My EU partner and I applied through the app on Jan 21st, first him, then me, I included his application number in mine (linked them), and we both got informed our application would be considered for Settled Status. We both got CoA immediately, on the same day.

Within 48 hours, he got his confirmation of Settled status. I'm still waiting. I have a biometric RC as his extended family member, and I've got more than 7 years of NI records in the UK.

Here's my timeline:

2009-2011: Tier 4 Student visa (1.5 years)
2011-2013: Tier 1 Post Study Visa (2 years)
2013-2016: Tier 2 Employer-sponsored Work Visa (3 years)
2016-2021: EEA RC (valid for 5 years, but lost in 2018)
2018-2023: EEA RC (valid for 5 years, replacing lost card above) - (effective 3 years 2016 - 2019)

In theory I should have been given Pre-settled status immediately, as I have had a RC card for 3 years and we attached my application to my partner, but this hasn't happened. Wonder why. I thought the HO would have all info they need?

Or... I'm thinking they don't know what to do with me, because the app decided to submit me as Settled status (I have NI records since I started working, so, since 2013, circa 7 years), yet I only have 3 years on the EEA RC (in theory qualifying me only for pre-Settled status).

Anyone in a similar position (non-EU family member, holder of biometric RC) has had any confirmation of status, or know how long this takes after their EU family member has had theirs?
i was in the same situation but they call me that i am only eligible for pre settle and we have to offer you pre settle now once you complete 5 years you be able to change it to settled status.. so dont worry they know now what to do with such cases. it takes long so be patient. my one took almost two months..
hope that helps.

My wife is a non EEA citizen, had a 5 year brp, 1 year old and i applied for her last week Monday, got pre-settled status today.. so it seems it takes about 2 weeks, and You should qualify for Settled Status by now.

Updated my case.

Applied on the 30th of March

Biometrics done the the 30th of March

Biometrics received on the 2nd of April

COA confirmed on the 8th of April

Settlement statue confirmed by email on the 5th of May

ILR card just arrived today: 10 years ILR.

My non biometric card expired on the 30 of April 2019, so i called them and complained that more than a month and have not yet heard any update. I also said I do travel lots due to my work environment, which is very true, and it will affect my career and income situation. I also said my case is very straight forward, more than 5 years living in the UK together with my EU wife in the same address and we both have been fully active, both came to the UK and myself got previous EU family permit visa and residence card. Therefore I demanded the lady over the phone to escalate my case and she agreed to escalate it and transfer it over to a senior caseworker, that was last Friday, 3rd of May and on the 5th I got the confirmation statue outcome.

good luck to all of you

Hello All,

Settle Status Timeline for EU National (My Dad)

Application Submitted : 2nd May 2019
CoA Received : 7th May 2019
Settle Status Grated : 9th May 2019

7 Days in total. Nothing uploaded at all. Applied through EU EXIT ID app.

One thing I would like to mention here, my dad is claiming benefits, state pension, EU pension, coucil tax claim. So even after claiming all the application took 7 days and it was a very smooth process.

I know someone who made his settled status application on 10/04/2019, got his biometrics done on 20/04/2019 using the premium service, received his COA on 28/04/2019 or 29/04/2019 and he's yet to hear anything else from them. :|

if your BRP card is still valid then you won't receive any new document except email with pdf confirming ILR and link to gov website in case you need to prove your rights. But if you card is expired then you will receive a new one with ILR.

Indefinite leave to remain ? No more Permanent Residence wording ?
