I don't know about that mate but in your pdf it definitely comes as "you have been granted indefinite leave to remain in the United Kingdom". I haven't seen anyone with new BRP card yet.
Please refrain from asking alot of questions here as this is for timelines only and m sure admins ahve put alot of effort in putting this together.
Thank you

Hi all - My partner is italian (EEA) and we have been in a relationship for 7 years, while I am Argentine (basically non EEA). At the end of December 2018, I got a Family Permit as her Unmarried Partner which is due to expire in June 20th. So, the thing is that I moved to the UK in early May to join her (she has been living here since last year) and have applied online for the pre-settled status almost at the same time of her. Neither of both have resident card or biometric, so she was asked to send her passport and I was asked to present biometric info.

So the timeline:
1. She applied on May 23th and sent her passport on May 25th; I applied on May 27th, referred to her application number and provided biometric info at the center in May 28th.
2. Both received the CoA immediately after our applications but no further response after providing passport / biometric data

I understand her application should be quite about to be validated while mine might take some more time, but still should be validated as for the fact I had a Family Permit and demonstrated we are still in a relationship with a tenancy agreement uploaded with my application.

My situation is tricky because I am actually looking for a job and my right to work is valid as per the family permit but it is about to expire, and the pre-settled status has not been confirmed yet, so I am a bit in the middle of two visas and not sure if once my Family Permit expires, I will actually have the right to work in the UK if the pre-settled status has not been yet granted.

Any ideas on 1) how much time I should expect until HO gives an answer and 2) How I can demonstrate to an employeer I have the right to work in the UK?

Thanks!

{ I'm not a solicitor, legal professional or immigration advisor, all of my posts are based on my online search and my own PR, ILR (LR), 2 FTT and 2 UTT refused but finally after 3 years of long battle I got my SETTLED STATUS. }

My time line is as follows as a guideline whoever looking for.
Application submitted on 01/04/2019
Biometrics done on 25/05/2019
COA received (email) on 2/05/2019
Settled status/ILR granted on 31/05/2019 (email)
BRC received on 06/06/2019

I had one issue with application that somehow couldn’t link my application with my wife.(she was given settled status in few hours though)
Made numerous calls and finally got it:)

Hi all,

Together with my wife we applied for a pre-settled status on 10th of April. I am an EU national and she is non-EEA living in UK on EEA Family Permit. My case was completed on 30th of April, whereas she had an biometric appointment on 17th of April and we haven't heard anything back regarding her case since then. EU settlement helpline advisors keep saying everything is fine, just a volume of application is high, hence delays.

This is a bit confusing as processing time guidelines clearly state that currently application takes 1-4 days to be processed but she has been waiting for almost 2 months...

She hasn't received any COA letter from Home Office so can't apply for a job without biometric card/NIN and it is really frustrating.

Is anyone else in the same situation?

Thanks,
Jed

1 - 4 days straightforward EEA applicant
14 days average for not so straightforward EU applicant

for NON EU it will always take longer.

" She hasn't received any COA letter from Home Office " That mean no one at the home office have looked at the application.

You need to contact settlement team .. why it's taking so long for COA ?

I got my COA after 18 hours submitting my application. But waiting for my result for more then 1 month
UK Student Visa : 04/2004 - 09/2009
EEA Residence Card : 07/2010 - 7/2015
EU Settled Status: Confirmed on 16th July 2019
Naturalisation : Confirmed on 02nd Oct 2020
Passport Approval : 21st Feb 2021

Hi,

Thank you for the reply.

I called many times but the standard reply is that all documents seems to be alright. It is just an officer haven't had time to look into a case yet.

Yesterday, I sent an email to EU settlement scheme with complaint on how much time it is taking so perhaps this will help. When I read posts of people here who applied much later and have already received COA or even biometric card it just makes me want to shout ;)

Hi guys - Just an update on my application. I got the pre-settle status confirmed today :)

It was fairly quick, see below the timeline updated. I am a non-EEA citizen, unmarried partner of an EEA citizen and I had a Family Permit expiring by the end of June. I provided proof of residence (together with my partner and bio-metric info).

For my EEA partner:
1. She applied on May 23th and sent her passport on May 25th;
2. She received her passport back on June 5th
3. CoA received on June 6th. Her pre-settle status was confirmed later the the same day (a few hours later).

For me (non-EEA citizen)
1. I applied on May 27th, referred to her application number.
2. Provided bio-metric info at the center in May 28th.
3. Received my CoA on June 10th.
4. Received confirmation on Pre-settle status in June 12th.

Thanks all for your responses and help provided. Good luck the everyone!

Hey all!

I just thought I'd share my Pre-Settlement Timeline.

I am married to a EU Citizen who is Irish (Republic of Ireland) and I am here on an EEA Family Permit (non-EU Spouse).

I applied on the 25th of May and I managed to book a biometric appointment for the 12th of June (I booked a free one thats why it took so long!). I had to cancel the appointment as I couldn't make it. So I managed to rebook for the 17th of June - another free appointment in Croydon.

So, here is my timeline:

17th of June - Submitted Biometrics
19th of June - received CoA at 11:54am and then at 12:06pm I received my confirmation of status saying that I got Pre-Settled Status.
21st of June - Received my BRP; Type of Permit: EU Scheme Pre-Settlement.

I hope this has given some people hope!

Everything was done in four days!

If anyone wants to see what the BRP looks like, let me know and I will post a picture with my details omitted.

If anyone wants some advice on how it all worked, drop me a PM.

Thanks for everyone's advice on the forum!

Hi all,

I would like to know if anyone here (non-EEA family member) made an application of settlement or pre-settlement status in June?

I am asking because I made one and I found no biometric schedule in the next few weeks. When I made my application early this month, the soonest schedule for biometric was for the end of the month with fee of £125.

I am worried that such a gap from my initial online application to biometric schedule would create a massive delay in the process.

Thanks!

Hi there,
I just realised your post once i clicked submit for my post. And it is encouraging to know that you managed your application fast and smooth.

Anw, when you had to cancel appointment and booked a new one, did you do it by phone or on the web? I would like to check if I could move my appointment to earlier date but was not sure if I should cancel worrying that I might only get latter date.

Hi there!

Yeah, I just did it on the UKVCAS Centre's website.

It was pretty simple and straight forward.

Unfortunately I think you only have 30 days from date of your application.

But yeah, the process was easy enough to rebook.

Thanks for the info! But i think it was said that I had 70 days to do whatever I needed to. However, my appointment won't be more than 30days after online application. It is just that I am worried to leave such a gap will create a delay.

Home office released new statistics. I think it's another good news for everyone still waiting to hear from Home Office .

Overall, the total number of applications that have been concluded, as of 31 May 2019, was 668,000. Of these, 66% were granted settled status and 34% were granted pre-settled status. Approximately 33,400 applications were also received from family members who are nationals of non-EEA countries

Hello,
I m new to this forum so please be kind ! I am a returning EU passport holder who will be starting work soon. I have previously lived and worked in the UK but left prior to the referendum in June 2016. How long after I commence work in the UK can I apply for pre-settled status. Can I do this immediately or is it best to wait ?

Thanks !
