Has anyone successfully tried this way recently? Do they stamp an EEA family permit at the border? Do i drive across there border or take the EURO rail?
I have written to you above post. Recently around 10 days ago, couple of people had successfully passed, all procedure at the border - about 10 min. They had gotten the stamp in their passport and now are preparing documents for Residence Card. Yes, you take euro tunnel ( all information about trip you can find on their web site)
Thanks for your response.
My wife is a visa national so first she will have to apply for Schengen Visa then
Hello!
I would like to ask if I can travel to Romania with my EEA husband,he is Portuguese but living in U.K and has a permanent residency there. I am currently got my visa of EEA recently and he wanted me to come with his trip in Feb.09,2017 for one week vacation together with our Romanian friend. They already got their plane ticket except me cos I just received my EEA Family permit last Jan.14th.
Do I need to apply for a Romanian visa to get in Romania? Your response will be much appreciated. Thank you.
Since you don’t have a residence card yet you will require a visa to Romania, Romanian visa or multiple entry Schengen visa.

Hi everyone, just an update, my spouse received her family permit. It was issued 30 days prior to collection, they did not send any notification that it has been processed, this second application took only 13 days to reach a decision. my spouse is already with me here in uk now.

If you applied from Niaja, its advisable to pop in the visa centre and check if its processed, thats if you did not get any info from sheffield.

Could someone tell me if the residence card is an online application or by post.

Thanks.

Download and print the EEA FM form for the residence card, then send the form by post with all the documents.

Congratulations on the permit!

At least it confirms that Nigerian applications can get approved swiftly too.

Just a quick question, you mentioned that it was a second application. Why was it refused the first time and what did you do differently this time please?

Thank you

No .. I didnt get any as I applied through a lawyer from Mumbai and i am from Kolkata.... Even the lawyer didnt get any email regarding the decision.... the courier service just came at my door today without any prior information.... I still cant believe that they actually lied about my documents.... it seems like they ran out of ideas to find a reason to refuse my application
Hi Roy2018

My advice is to insist your lawyer appeals the refusal/HO decision while you make a fresh application as gradually time is seriously running out!
Hi Big Dobby,

I will make a fresh application within this month or by the first week of february .... I am trying to collect all the updated documents and this time i will leave no chance to refuse it .... i will not give up ....

Need help!

Hi everyone,
We, my husband and I, have applied for an EEA FP last year from Karachi, Pakistan. Here is our timeline:

Date of Applying visa at visa center Karachi (bio metrics): 10th October 2017
Date of Receiving second email (case not straight forward): 20th October 2017
Called for escalation: 29th December 2017
Call and mail to recieve the passport at VFS: 19th January 2018, refusal

The reasons of refusal are the following:
- We didn't send them our whatsapp and skype chat history
- There were some issues with the marriage registration certifcate date. The marriage was registered after 7 month of our marriage.

We can prove these objections very easily, even though we think these objections are not really valid for refusal. We have the right to appeal the decision. But we are doubting whether to appeal or reapply.

Please share your experience in circumstances of appeal and reapply.

Kind regards,
AnHas

Would like to share my story:

Not straightforward email 07.07.2017
My first complain to UK Visas and Immigration 19.09.2017 (got any result in really, was told that my application was not straightforward but they were working on it)
My second complain 10.01.2018 . I got an email 19.01.2018 there I was informed decision was made and soon I would received further news .
Indeed I received it on the same day , two hours earlier:-))) And today, I have got my passaport with FP.

I wish you good luck to all!!!

Hi All,

I just wanted to share my timelines:

Applied from Paris, spouse is in the UK already.

Application submitted: 08/01/18
Application received: 09/01/18( The TLS contact centre in Paris simply scans the documents to the UKVI hence the speed)
Called to chase: 22/01/18
Notification to receive FP: 23/01/18

I submitted just what I was asked and not tons of pictures and WhatsApp logs.
Looking forward to be in the UK with my spouse and good luck to all those who are waiting.

I am no expert but think it is simply because they might have mishandled it and just picke it up again. It may be because you chased them and usually they tend to be responsive when you do chase.
