Hi everyone,

We married 09/07/2017 in Turkey. My husband is German. So like everybody else, we are apart since we applied for this. It is really frustrating. I hope we all can meet with their loved one soon.

My application history is like this ;

EEA FP Application datee : 16/08/2017- İstanbul
Not straightforward : 05/09/2017
last mail : 01/13/2018
Status: The application is now with UK Visas & Immigration for a decision.

And Damla, yes there is a turkish forum you can follow . Im putting the link below.

Hi everyone,

I have been following this forum for quite a while now and it was very helpful to have updates from other people in my situation, particularly the happy news so I want to share with you my happy (but very long) experience.

My wife applied from Rabat, Morocco on the 28/06/2017.

All praise be to God the Almighty, today, the 29/01/2017 (7 months after) she picked up her passport with the family permit in it.

We gave all the documentation required as everyone did here: (Mariage certificate
original and certified translation, payslips, WhatsApp conversations, covering letter describing our story plus the document attached within the application...)

We only escalated once but as everyone here we received the standard "You have to wait longer" message.
Following that we emailed the MP but it was not very helpful as he told us the exact same thing "You have to wait longer and there is nothing we can do to help you more".
We then decided to wait patiently until we finally got it today !

It was a very long and exhausting experience but hang on and place your trust in God, multiply your prayers because there is absolutely nothing else to do. And you will be soon joining your partner and/or family in the UK Inshaa Allah !

I sincerely hope this message will give you faith and help you having a positive mind as previous posts helped me and my wife.

As for the next steps and visiting other pages in this forum I understand my wife has to apply for a resident card as the family member of an EEA (me).

I have a couple of questions because I saw the other timelines (EEA2(FM)) being nearly as long as for the FP and I am a bit concerned.

Can my wife get legally a job with this 6 months visa or does she absolutely need the residence card first ? Does having a job speed the process of having the EEA2(FM) ? Will she be able to work while doing the application for the residence card ? Otherwise is there a more suitable route than the EEA2(FM) to have a job because the company where I work might have a job for her.

I would really appreciate if anyone could give me advice on that matter because I really don't know what to do.

Thanks,

Kind regards,

After long, stress, defficult and ill waiting by me and my spouse. all this 6 six months after waiting this the visa officer result and reason of refuse.

As I have been in uk for 3 times with deffirent EEA visas of 2015/2016/2017 period and my wedding certificate and all the documents that I have included them can not make sure from my spouse is EEA. :!: :!: :?:

I’ve got my decision made today but still don’t know the answer.
I haven’t received the email yet but I saw it online to the centre I’ve made the application so I’m expecting it.
Anyone knows how long does it takes to get my passport back ?
Applied from Albania in 16/08/2017

Thank you!

Hi everyone,

I thought or sharing my case with you. It might help some of you who has got a first refusal on a probably silly basis.

I first applied on May 2017, two weeks after we got the outcome of our application for my wife's family permit (I'm French). They refused and from the refusal letter we could tell that they didn't really look or consider our application properly. My wife was in the letter mentioned as my brother in law. So whatever they were saying next wasn't relevant.

We made a fresh application in July and I appealed the first decision at the same time. End of January, the home office had to provide the reasons/motivations why they refused (based on a legal argument this time and not on their mood swing) of our first application. At the same time we received the outcome of our second application which turned out to be positive thanks to God. I had called them in November but nothing happened, it is just a scam to steal honest people money. I don't even see the point in calling them.

Conclusion, always appeal, make a new application. Worst case scenario, you wait 6/7 months but this time they consider your application seriously and on legal grounds. And if they say no again, the tribunal will give you your rights.

Good luck to all of you, this website helped me a lot so I thought I would share with you my story.

NB: when we reapplied we of course provided more documents to prove that our marriage was a real one. But that is for them to prove it if they have suspicions.

Hi there!
Could you please share the list of documents you provided to the UKVI?
Since your application was so smooth, it would be helpful for others to know what to prepare.
Of course, I understand it differs from case to case, still, it will be good to know.
In my case, my wife is Russian, I am Romanian, studying full-time in the UK - we applied twice already, once in July 2017 (refused because they didn't consider the proof of my private medical insurance at all), second time in September 2017, refused a week ago, on unknown grounds, as the wife's passport has not yet arrived.
Any help will be most welcome.
Thank you

Sure!

Here is my timeline:

Date submitted: 20th March
Biometrics taken: 20th March
UK Recieved application: 20th of March at the Visa Application centre in Sheffield.
EEA PR recieved: 5th April
Passport recieved: 10th of April.

For us, it was the first time applying. So all in all, it took 3 weeks!

All hope still remains! Keep contacting them with regards to information.

Thanks to everyone who posts on this forum.
So I have been with my girlfriend for over 2 years. We previously applied for an unmarried partner RC and was rejected. Then we came back to nigeria and got married. My first EEA FP application in lagos was refused after 16 days due to not adding evidence of correspondence although I showed evidence of cohabitation. Second one in abuja was refused after 5 weeks due to not adding extensive evidence of EEA sponsor not exercising EU treaty right despite adding DBS check form, tax certificates and employment letter. Third one applied at abuja was then approved after 18 days after adding work ID card and email correspondence with her work supervisor. Now looking for tickets to travel :D
