Yes. Issued in late 2017 under the 2016 EEA Regulations.

Sent in the application on the 23rd May
Congrats! Did you already have UK RC? I sent in my application on the 16th of May but it didn't get to the HO until 20th May, so a little sooner than yours. I already had an old style UK RC and had to do a biometrics submission, did that on 18th June.
Had the non-biometric vignette RC which expired March 2019

Hi,

I just got FP approved under SS route from irl.
Next step is to Eu settlement scheme I believe.

Do British Citizen need to show he/she is working to show they are qualified on their return to the UK when making application for pre-settled status?

Please advise.

Not in the UK by the looks of things. This is probably because you don't need to prove you hold CSI for non eu if your claiming to be qualified as self sufficient or a student. But you do need to satisfy all other aspects of your time in Ireland. Good luck with your application.

I'm BC non-eu husband applied for settled status on 16 May with non-biometric old style passport vignette issued June 14. His RC had not expired at time of application. Got biometrics letter and passports returned around 5 weeks after applying. Biometrics given on 25th June. No updates or info or CoA received. Both worked since arriving into UK from Ireland April 2014 straightforward case. Hopefully will hear soon! If not maybe need to exercise my dual nationality or get the fl@ck out of this land! Hell knows what will happen with BOJO at the helm?!!!
My non EU husband received his settled status residence card today via courier. 8 weeks exactly since applied. Good luck to all. Keep the faith 🙏

Now looking for advice. What is the best way to apply to get my husband's non EU parents over for a trip to the UK? Can we apply using the family permit through the EU settlement scheme? Thanks

This question is not relevant to this topic. Please start a new one with the query as the parents are not part of the surinder Singh process which is the purpose of this thread

still reading through this massive forum thread i was sent here as i was asking how i go about keeping my indonesian wife in the uk her PR card expires dec 2020 we arrived in UK from ireland in sep 2015 applied for her PR got it by dec of that year. i was under the impression back in 2015 that once 5yrs was up she could apply for a british passport? or has that all now changed since brexit? we applied under the SS route at the time...very worried got sleepless nights due to nightmare we went through before, also have a son was born here in the UK dec 2015 (almost born in ireland at the time)

i can also apply for a irish passport due to my grandparents would this be a wise or helpful thing to do ?

She doesn't have PR. She has an RC (residence card) valid for 5 years.

British citizenship has nothing to do with Brexit as it is governed by UK Nationality Laws and not the EU rules. She can only apply for a passport when she is British. To apply to naturalised as British, she needs either PR (permanent residence) or Settled Status (under Appendix EU). Both require 5 years residence.
