Hi there people,

I could do with your advice abd guild.

So got my Family Permit 6 months and am now in UK, my other half is British so I've read that I'll need to apply for my 5 years using a some paper form or something like that.

So how long would it take me to get a paper form?

How long does it take to arrive?

Once I fill it in and send back to them, how long would it take them to issue the 5 years ?

What are the documents I'll need to send with the form?

What would I be issue with? Residence Card Or Leave To Remain

Thanks guys I look forward to reading from yous.
Cheers

@ newmee,, you need to apply for paper based application form . Call EU resolution centre and request an application form . Can’t give u a timeline of how long it takes them to send the form and respond etc because in my hubby’s case it took ages as the home office had not even prepared paper based applications then . But I hear they are sending Out forms pretty quickly now .

Once u receive the form you need to fill
It out , submit all the documents you submitted with your family permit I.e. satisfy the Center of life test in another EU state , British spouse exercising treaty rights in that member state etc.

Once you send the form , you should receive a letter for biometrics , you provide this by going to a post office ( it’s free of charge )

After that you wait for a decision . For us it took more than a month once we submitted the biometrics details .

Best of luck

@ newmee,, alternatively you can apply for a
Residence card but that wil not be valid after 2020 so it’s better and free to apply for a pre settled status under EU settlement scheme ( which is the above )

Thanks for your prompt reply.

You quoted that;
"Once u receive the form you need to fill
It out , submit all the documents you submitted with your family permit I.e. satisfy the Center of life test in another EU state , British spouse exercising treaty rights in that member state etc."

Now would I need to ADD more documents to it e.g. recent/latest documents since I joined my other half in UK? Like with UK address in his name or my name on it, etc OR do I just resubmit the exact documents which I used to apply for 6months while I was in another EU state? ( I should not add to it neither should I take out of it)

Hope I make sense🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈 sorry.

Regards

If u arrived recently you only need to add one item which shows that you are in the UK. e.g. boarding passes of you, spouse and any kids etc, any bills in your name , bank statement etc.

For my hubby application we included our boarding passes and a broadband bill
In his name

Nothing else from UK should be needed IF you have arrived recently .

And yes, everything that you included for family permit application should be included , e.g proof of your accommodation there, rental agreement, any work contract, payslips, bank statements, proof of living there over the period of time you claim to have lived there such as letter from local authority , housing registration, letters addressed to you and your spouse , birth certificates ( if any children born there ) , translations of any documents that’s not in English,

Also write a covering letter explaining your situation ; how long you and spouse lived in EU state , what you did there , why you decided to come to UK ( any particular reason ) whether you have previously come to UK for a visit etc ,

Include any utility bill statements with your names on it ( from EU state )

Hello all,

I've following this post for a while and I'm so happy many BCs and their spouses are receiving their rights to remain in the UK.

I have a question if you don't mind, I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to ask.

I'm a BC with a non-EEA spouse currently living in Germany. They have received their Family EEA permit to enter the UK but I was wondering if it's okay to come into the port of Folkestone by car. (We have cats and we don't want them travelling by plane.) Or do you think it's better to arrive at a UK airport with the permit to be checked by an immigration official?

Thank you
:D

This question is not relevant to this topic. Please start a new one with the query as the parents are not part of the surinder Singh process which is the purpose of this thread

Hey CROO1

I need some advice from you, basically we are planning to apply for the eu settlement scheme under surinder singh route however we are not sure when to apply, because we came to the UK in November 2014 but we received the Residence card on November 2017 after we won the appeal, when do you think is good to apply for settle status?
The continuous 5 years residency start from the day we arrive or from the residence card issued date?

Appreciate advice on this.

Thank you
Stay blessed

Hello,

Very brief question about this. Is it necessary to send off the applicants passport and BRP as part of this process? Or, does a photocopy of the document work in this scenario?

My wife travels a lot for work, so this would require us to plan when to apply.

Thanks

Hi everyone 🙋🏽‍♀️

I finally sent my application on Monday as I am now finished with all my traveling for now. They received my application yesterday (saw it through royal mail track and trace), will I get an email, text or post that my application has been received by them or if they are starting the process? If yes, how long did it take to get a confirmation?

Can you guys tell me how long did the process takes for everyone who got their PSS or SS?

Thanks a lot xx

Hi.
I applied for settled status (I arrived in 2014 and got UK RC) after couple of months.
The papers I sent are the following:
1 My non eu passport with the UKRC vignette sticker
2 British citizen’s passport
3 Marriage certificate
4 Proof of 5 years continuous residence:
- 5 years annual bank account (both me and husband)
- 5 years P60 (both me and husband)

I don't have rent agreement, mortgage or any utility bills hence annual bank statements and P60. xx

Great, Thank you, we came here in sep 2014 but our RC took longer, had to go through court and finally got it in 2017.

We came here sep 2014 from Ireland without the family permit, upon arrival no boarder checks so no stamps
in our passports.
that time we were living with my parents so no council tax or tenancy in our names.
Luckily my (non eu) wife got the job so she has the employment history from 2014.
Signed up for wifi in my wifey (non eu) name in November 2014 but now we only have December 2014 bill in
our hands.
My bank statements starting from November 2014 (Brit cit)

so when do you think we can apply for settled status? this month or wait till November as our statements starting from? please give me your advice on this.

Thank you

Hi.
As far as I know you can submit 6 months worth of evidences on every 12 months you are in UK.

Do you still have the copy of the airline tickets you used because as far as I can remember you can use that xx

Hi.
As far as I know you can submit 6 months worth of evidences on every 12 months you are in UK.

Do you still have the copy of the airline tickets you used because as far as I can remember you can use that. Also, did you registered to your local GP? You can use that to, mobile phone bills can be useful too. xx

Hi yes Thank you, I have got evidence from November 2014 but only September and October don't have, basically we arrived in September and was resting for 2 months without doing anything so do you think is gonna be ok if I say that I came back here on September 2014 and provide the evidence from November 2014?

Hello.
I can’t guarantee for sure that they will accept the application or not, I think if your evidences are only from November then I guess you can only apply in November 2019. Can you get hold of the copies of your airline tickets when you arrived? If you can show that then that will be very helpful for you to prove that you came and lived here from September xx
