https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... r-guidance

I got the link it’s was updated..
Can anyone summarise the difference btw the old and new guidelines pls?
I don't think there was never a guidance for case workers for Zambrano carers. So now they have a guide to refer to and decisions should start shortly.
Thanks for the reply, so is that a positive regarding decision making?
Yes.

Read up on page 13 and if you meet all the criteria for the 4 stages then yes it is positive and expect a result soon.

Family member of Qualifying British Citizen..
That is the part that is applicable to many of us...
With 2 and half years descretionatory leave as a parent of a British child/children.
Fingers crossed..

Page 18 is very concerning and ambiguous to their interpretation.

You pay nothing.
You surely doing biometrics again.
Just go to Any post office (doing biometrics registration) as it’s not all the post office doing it, with your biometrics letters and it says it’s free..
Good luck..

You can apply as join responsibility since may 2019 the law have change you just apply first under parents routes wish country is your partner from you can also apply as sharing responsibility under Zambrano but the law are different under EU Settlement Scheme they can use discretion
Under parent route ampdex fm is not for joint parents living 2geather in relationship. I check theblatest gudance. V both have country of nationality.

I am extremely nervous
Application made 16/07/2019
Application received 17/07/2019
Biometrics letter 30/07/2019
Biometrics enrolled 06/07/2019
COA Pending
Decison Pending

I have read guidance and nervous about eligibility factor 4.
I have no current leave in the UK. Tier 4 visa expired February 2018 and gave birth in November 2018 to a baby girl. My daughter is 8 months old and breast fed. I am a single mother and father is not involved in her life but agreed to provide me with his documents to make application. I have not made any other application as cannot afford the fee for FLR (FP) as a single mum who cannot work or claim benefits. I need this to work.ý

I called EU Settlement and told them everything about my case and was told to apply for Zambrano. I hope they do not decline and ask me to apply via FLR (FP) 10 year route, or say my baby must stay with her father to remain in the UK.

Fingers crossed. Anyone else in a similar situation ? (Applying outside immigration rules without a previous application).

It just seems a roundabout way to go about it. To have to apply for FLR (FP) and get it or be declined to then apply for the EU Settlement Scheme. Also as I cannot have 2 ongoing applications, as one will be declined. I specifically asked them if not having any previous applications and no stay precluded me and was told to apply. It's sad that parents of British citizens seem to be put through a lot more scrutiny. As far as I am concerned I feel my situation is a no-brainer to any thinking person applying the spirit of the law, but I know HO has come up with the most incredible decisions at times. Will just wait and see and keep my fingers crossed.

Any update from anyone after receiving COA (Zambrano primary carer application)? I called the EU Resolution Centre on Thursday 15th August and I was told that paper applications normally take 6 months for a decision to be made. Meanwhile, my COA which I received on 9th July stated that a decision will be made "shortly".

Was excited about "receive a decision shortly" until I read the comment upthread of a decision taking up to 6 months.

Guess the wait is on

Hi everyone, it's my first time posting on here. I applied to the settlement scheme as a carer of an Eu child Chen case on the 9th of July. Prior to this application I had the 2.5years leave to remain the 10years route. I have done 5years on this. My child is a Dutch national who has been granted settled status. My application is linked to my child's as her sole carer. I received COA yesterday. My only concern is that I did not have a derivative residency before now. Can anyone with this experience be kind to share their view. Many thanks

I don’t know the ones refused personally...

Decision can take up to 6months or more, but ideally within 6months.
4-5months.... after COA...

Thanks for the reply, I thought decisions are made earlier than that especially through eu settlement. The wait is so mentally challenging because you don’t know what you might get after all that months of waiting.

All the best..

Some of us applied since June...
Hopefully before Xmas(6months)
We have more news to talk about..
I have sincerely stopped worrying about it.
The thought of it is stressful and nerve wrecking I am just going to carry on working and save up for my renewal next summer..
And if I am granted wawu and if not life goes on and I will keep renewing..
I am not been negative I am just preparing myself ahead..
Good luck to us all...
