Hello everyone...
I had to create another account I lost my other log in details..
I was part of those who applied earlier in June, with 2.5 Parent of BC route 10years,I got passports return only with biometrics letter the following week and COA in July on the 12th, I think a lot of us got COA the same time..
And up till now nothing..

I rang the resolution center last week,
it’s been 4months and those who applied later around August/sept are even sorted...

I actually needed one of the documents I sent to them as proof of 5years residency and to my surprise in less than 3days I got all my documents returned back and the later stated since I had requested for documents return there may be further delay in consideration of my application and i am like excuse me ?

And I was told I will need to post all the documents back to them as it’s not even scanned yet into the system..

I was like wawu!!!!!
So I have to post it back to them but the only thing I noticed is that the documents did not come from EU resolution centre we posted our forms to it came from “permanent Migration centre” in LIVERPOOL!!!
Fingers crossed..

But a part of me is thinking they are waiting upon the decision of brexit on the31s and maybe they already exhausted all the numbers of settled and pre settled slots they targeted..
Maybe I am wrong all I know is by dec or before jan will be their 6months they intended to make anyone wait for..

Wow, but waiting till then will be do unfair on us that posted around June. I had the hope that I would have been one of the people to get a decision first but I know it's not the case now.

I was thinking it might be the caseworker handling the case who is too busy to handle our cases.

But you might be lucky, you cld get a decision quicker if u repost it.

Good morning all. I requested the paper form and received it on September 23rd and posted it October 1st. I have no prior leave to remain (have made human rights application before and been refused) but I am the carer for a British adult citizen who is my partner and I have a lasting power of attorney for him. I applied for a derivative residence card on February 28th, got a CoA in March and got refused in June but I never saw the refusal letter despite asking my solicitor for it. He made a second application in August but he said he was not posting it as I had not paid him half his fee. I was fine with that as I was now on the forum everyday reading and wondering why he wasn't asking me about the paper zambrano eu settlement.
Last night he calls me to tell me he sent the application after all and my letter for biometric enrollment has come and he will post it to me. What should I do? Do the biometrics when I get the letter or wait for the one from the zambrano eu settlement scheme as the first application will be refused/invalid anyway. And he still has made no mention of the zambrano settlement scheme as well talking about amnesty so I didn't tell him i sent the zambrano eu settlement scheme.

My advice is forget about the lawyer and his 2nd application as they will refuse again. Focus on the settlement scheme as you have a higher chance of approval. Wait for the biometrics letter under settlement scheme.
All the best

The forum is a big help to us all. I found out about Zambrano on here 6 years ago. It saved me thousands of pounds and gave me a lot of confidence.

Hi everyone

I posted in July and received my COA in August.

I need to move house now and was wondering if anyone has been successful passing right to rent checks with a COA and non-EU passport?

My estate agent was initially okay with it and now seems hesitant

Did anyone see Micheal gove answering questions about EU settlement scheme? What I kinda got from his answers are uk are or have been generous in granting people their settlements and are going to continue to do so. So I think now that he has said that people might start getting their decisions as soon as possible and hopefully it’s all great news.

Here is my timeline

COA 25 july
Not new on this forum and got help many times already I am non Eu parent of Irish child and applied online application in July and in same month I got COA and in August I rang resolution centre for an update they said I have to apply paper application under Chen Eu settlement I agreed and they said I will get paper application within next week or so but after 12-15 days I got an email from the caseworker to sent him a proof of my son’s residence proof within last 6 months. I rang again on same same day and asked if I have to apply paper application then why they asked for evidence and I never got paper application as well they checked and said the caseworker handover my application to the senior caseworker and he decided to accept online application and asked a piece of evidence and next I will get decision , I sent evidence next day . Since that I rang 3-4 time they said everything is ok need to just wait for decision etc..
today when I rang again they said I have to apply paper application!!!! I explained all my story and she said she will not put any further note on my application but she is going to ask about my matter from their head office what is going on that humble lady told me she will ring me personally soon she will get some reply as she said nobody knows including their manager why first accept online application and then asked paper application and then again accept online and again ask for paper one application after 3 months .. has anyone ever been in this kind of situation.. adv thanx for yours kind opinions

Updates

Home Secretary Priti Patel has announced that there have been 2 million applications to the EU Settlement Scheme.

Published 9 October 2019

From:

Home Office and UK Visas and Immigration

Home Secretary Priti Patel has today (9 October 2019) announced that there have been two million applications to the EU Settlement Scheme, according to internal figures.

The EU Settlement Scheme is designed to make it straightforward for EU citizens and their family members to stay after the UK leaves the EU.

To apply they only need to complete three key steps – prove their identity, show that they live in the UK and declare any criminal convictions. EU citizens and their family members have until at least December 2020 to apply.

According to the latest official statistics on the EU Settlement Scheme, more than 1,800,000 applications had been received and more than 1,500,000 had been granted status up to the end of September 2019, providing them with an immigration status under UK law.

The statistics also show that more than 1,700,000 applications had been received from EU citizens in England, 92,700 from Scotland, 29,300 from Wales and 28,700 from Northern Ireland. The highest number of applications are from Polish, Romanian and Italian citizens, with more than 345,000 Polish citizens applying.

Home Secretary Priti Patel said:

EU citizens have made a huge contribution to this country and will play a key role in cementing Britain’s status as an outward-looking, global leader after Brexit.

That is why I am thrilled that we have had 2 million applications to the EU Settlement Scheme so that EU citizens can secure their immigration status under UK law.

To help raise awareness of the EU Settlement Scheme at a local level, the Home Office is holding a series of innovative pop-up events across the UK where staff will answer questions and help people to apply in person.

Home Office Minister Brandon Lewis attended the launch in Great Yarmouth on Friday 6 September 2019 and future events are planned for Aberdeen, Glasgow, Tower Hamlets, Nottingham, Leeds and Birmingham.

The Home Office will also be launching further advertising activity in the coming weeks to build upon its existing £4 million marketing campaign to encourage EU citizens to apply.

Minister of State for Security and Deputy for EU Exit and No Deal Preparation Brandon Lewis said:

EU citizens are our friends, family and neighbours and we want them to stay.

It is fantastic news that there have been two million applications to the EU Settlement Scheme.

There is plenty of support and information on offer to help people apply and get the status they need. That includes a helpline that is open seven days a week, a toolkit for employers and an army of voluntary organisations up and down the country to support hard-to-reach EU citizens.

There is a wide range of support available for EU citizens and their families to help them apply. We have awarded up to £9,000,000 to 57 voluntary and community sector organisations across the UK who are helping vulnerable people such as the homeless, disabled and elderly.

Additional support is also available to those EU citizens in the UK who do not have the appropriate access, skills or confidence to apply. This includes more than 300 assisted digital locations across the UK where people can be supported through their application and more than 80 locations where applicants can have their passport scanned and verified.

Maybe they should concentrate on employing additional staff and resources to speed up the applications. There is a huge back log and they have put people's lives on hold.

This stupid jamboree is not the answer.

I called the resolution centre today in tears, and to my huge surprise they said there is a case note on my application that they sent a letter out dated 7th for me to send them documents showing my 5 years residence!
They issued me 5 years derivative residence which expired in May 2019!
When l sent my paper application l sent documents for each year to show residence for the last 5 years which included my daughter's British passport and her school report for every year for the last 5 years.
I was completely floored and couldn't stop crying. I sent my application in June.
This is starting all over again!
