Eea fm takes too long

We applied eea fm for my wife and my son , 14 September it in abu dhabi . is taking too long ! Yesterday i wrote email and i got replay it said
Dear Amani hasan ayedhahmed,

Thank you for contacting the UK Visas and Immigrations international
enquiry services.

As per the information I can retrieve from the system, the visa application
has not yet been assessed by an Entry Clearance Officer (ECO). The
application has been put on hold whilst further enquiries are conducted. Is this guys normal or something wrong advice please
