EEA1 and EEA2 Questions

Post by kamde.31 » Tue Feb 18, 2014 6:37 pm

Hi,
I am a non-EEA national (Indian National) husband married a EEA National (French National) girl and we both are living in France. We have a daughter who is French national by birth.

I am a software engineer and my wife doesn't have any qualifications. I find difficult to find job in France(due to French) and planning to move UK along with my wife. I got EEA family permit now valid for 6 months. Some say, i may find difficult to get job with EEA family permit as it's valid only for 6 months. I need to get residence card by applying for EEA2.

I had following questions,
1) Do my wife need to get registration certificate by applying EEA1 ?.
2) If NO for above question, can i directly apply for EEA2 ?.
3) If YES for question 1, how can she prove her treaty rights in UK ?.

My wife does not have any qualification and it might be difficult to apply in Jobcenter Plus(option to mention as JobSeeker is difficult). She also can't apply as (Self sufficient) as we have money only to manage for 4/5 months max. Its all depend on me to get a job and settle there. I heard my EEA2 application might be rejected if my wife didn't have her registration certificate.

I need to be clear and precise before taking decision to move UK.

Please help me.

You should be fine . Resource for 4-5 months, will establish self-sufficiency.

Hi,

If my EEA wife planned to show her treaty rights as "JobSeeker" category, can she show my job searching mails, employer interview mail or others as a proof of job search documents.

Since she is not well qualified the chances of me getting the interview call is more than her.

Please advise me.

Hi,

I just came to know that we both apply for EEA1 and EEA2 at the same time.
Can my EEA wife shows her treaty rights as "JobSeeker" while we both are looking for job?.

Please advise.
