Hi, i really need help!!! My husband is French and im Brazilian, we're married for a bit more than 5 years now. Its been 6 months we come back to UK, after almost 5 years. I came back with my family permity in set 2013, last feb 2014 i applied for my eea2 and it just arrived refused. On the reasons for refusal letter, the HO says: " For family members applying for a residence card on the basis that their EEA natonal family member is exercising Treaty right as a self-sufficient person, they must also submit evidence of comprehensive sickness insurance that covers all familly members. This is in accordance with regulation 4(2)(b) of the Regulations.
Your application has been considered and following has been ascertained from evidence provided:
* The bank account statements provide are insufficient as they are only copies and one is Frenc without a translation.
*You have not provided evidence that you and your EEA national sponsor hold comprehensive sickness insurance in the UK.
So my question is: How can i write a letter telling the HO i will appeal, but i need extra time to be able to send the original bank statement, as it takes up to 2weeks to be delivered and the same time is needing for the insurance contract? Should i not send the statement from France again, as it will take more time to get the originals and translate it?
Kind Regards
