EEA2 residence card - COA with no rith to work

Post by Braunies » Mon May 05, 2014 1:08 am

Hi,
I'm a Hungarian citizen lining in the UK since February 2014 with my wife and two kids.
On march 2014 my family applied for a RC based on my citizenship, and few weeks after they all got the COA with a note that they are unable to confirm your right to work in the UK ... this is because you have not provided original:
1. current valid identity documents for yourself/sponsor (strange because We sent with the application 4 passports of me - the sponsor - and the 3 applicants)
2. evidence of your relationship with your EEA ... (We provided birth certificate for our kids, and marriage certificate fro me and my wife)
3. sufficient evidence of your sponsor exercising Treaty rights (I'm working in the UK and I provided ONLY a declaration sigend by my employer, without payslips)

We are a bit concerned that our application will be rejected (or will be delayed )for no reason.
My questions:
1. Is it indeed the case that the HO has concerns about 3 of my documents as stated above? Should I contact HO for explanations? If so, what is their contact number/address?
2.Should I right to the HO and ask to know which documents are missing , or should I wait for their response?
3. I know understand that I could have provide more information about my exercising treaty (working in the UK) - should I send them some additional documents, such as pay slips? if so, to which address?
4. Should I send the HO more proofs of our marriage - we only sent the marriage certificate (we are married fro 10 years and having two kids together)

Many thanks for your help,
Good night,
A.B.

I think this is becoming a trend. Have a read through these threads. They may answer some initial questions. Of course, if you think it's a mistake on their part (i.e. if you are clearly married/related by birth) then just contact them. Some numbers/emails are included in these threads:

You could send extra info as well, if you like. It would have to be sent to the same place, making it clear which applications they related to. Pay slips might help.
