EEA2 Self sufficient

Post by fei.liu » Mon Feb 03, 2014 8:28 pm

Hey guys,

Kinda new to here. I need some help on applying EEA2 as Self sufficient.

Me - non EEA - full time employment
Partner- EEA -(getting married in April)- self sufficient

I am planning to apply as non married partner, the things I concern are CSI and Income proof.

I have got company private medical insurance and signed my partner in as well, it gets you private medical treatment etc, will it be enough to qualify comprehensive sickness insurance?

Does my income and his family income(his family regularly sends him money from EEA country) count as proof of source of his income?

Cheers

Fei

Hi liu,

Are you asking about the Surinder Singh process, or are you planning to do EEA2 in UK?

For Surinder Singh I think applications from self sufficient applicants has very low application.
By far the large majority will have the EEA national doing some employed work in another EU country.

Rate of pay is not a factor, but one should "work" a minimum of about 12 hours per week, and for 12 weeks.
By work, it is generally assumed that the EEA national will work part time for a company.
