Dear All,
Just wanted to confirm if Bulgarian/Romanian Nationals needs to have comprehensive health insurance for continues 5 years in order to exercise EU treaty rights to apply/successfully obtain PR in UK?
Basically someone that I know is considering to apply for PR(Exercising EU treaty rights as a student in UK from last 5 years). He received his Yellow registration card as student back in 2007 but never had/submitted any comprehensive health insurance certificate/details with that application as they were not required and/or at least HO never requested at this point.
But it seems now that one needs to have and submit proof of comprehensive health insurance if one wants to apply for PR by exercising EU treaty rights as being student in UK.
So, question is:
If he purchases the comprehensive health insurance now and submit the proof with application, would that be acceptable to HO or is it Mandatory to have comprehensive health insurance for the years in question in regard to exercising EU Treaty rights(previous 5 years)?
Thanks for time to read and any advice or input will be highly appreciated.
