EEA4

Post by Verbal Kint » Tue Feb 27, 2007 1:52 pm

Some questions if I may.
My 5 years on a resident permit will be up on the 10 august. As it is an EEA application it has to be done by post. So when am I entitled to send of the application, I am of the assumption that it is 28 days normal or working?

Secondly the last version of the EEA4 form I looked at was 04/2006 which in section 4 the applicant needed to show evidence of their spouse (the EEA member) having had employment in some form over the last 5 years. I see now in the latest version 08/2006 that now in section 4 either the EEA member or you (the applicant) needs to show proof of 5 years employment. This makes much more sense if my understanding is correct. Can any one confirm these changes ?
Many Thanks
Regards
Verbal

ps. for showing the employment , what forms would i attach P14 , P35 or P60 ?

It is not clear from your post whether you are an EEA citizen, or the family member of such a person. That is, which form do you need to use? The EEA3 or the EEA4?

Clearly you need to use the current version, of whatever form .... those labelled 08/2006.

Evidence? Of course supply whatever the form requires.

You and your family member .... you will submit the EEA3 and the EEA4 together. That makes sense.

Hiya John

I am non EEA so will be using form 4 - current version.
I am just querying that the additional two words of “or you” in the current version is not an error as those two words changes the whole burden of proving evidence of treaty rights.
As for evidence of employment all they ask is to fill in employer name and address and period worked.
If anybody has sent this form in if they could let me know what , if any proof you sent in to prove this. Thanks

Your spouse will be applying on form EEA3 at the same time as you apply on form EEA4?

I am not understanding what your query is. Stop referring to the previous version of the form and simply look at the current form, and comply with what it is asking for. The difference is probably explained by new EU/EEA regulations that came into force on 30.04.06.
