Email re: UKVI e-Visa post-Naturalization - should I ignore?

Post by LemonPeddler » Fri May 31, 2024 3:06 pm

Hi guys,

So I just received my Naturalization certificate a week ago and today, I received an email from the UKVI informing me that my (ILR) BRP is to expire and that I should create a UKVI account and access my e-Visa. I understand that at this point, the BRP is null and it had been returned.

My question:
- should I ignore this email, as I already am a British citizen?

It does say in the email that the eVisa will prove my immigration status, so would like to confirm that this is NOT applicable to me now, as I now have my certificate and soon, a British passport as proof.

ignore - with you becoming British ILR is now meaningless.
