Employed by US company, UK Spouse Visa?

Hi all,

my husband is a UK citizen and we're trying to get to the UK with a spouse visa for me (US citizen). He just gave notice at his US job (full-time, salaried), and his boss offered to keep him employed full-time, salaried) from the US (there is no UK branch of his company). Would this be accepted as income (it's above the minimal requirement for the spouse visa)? Thanks in advance for your time.

Complicated. HMRC would prefer the US company to operate UK PAYE for their UK employee(s). Potential accounting nightmare for one person if US co. is small.
