Employer change of address + name (WP)

Post by hillybilly » Sun Apr 17, 2011 11:54 pm

Hello to the community!
(This is my first post here)

I am on WP since Aug 2006. Hoping to apply for ILR July this year.
Found out about 'technical change' bit recently.
My employer moved half a mile from previous office address 3 years ago, also went from XYZ to XYZ Limited about a year before that.
Nothing else changed in terms of my employment, our business, general structure of the company.
If it is a technical change that should have been informed, is it too late for my employer to do so?
And how does this affect my case?

May you all have strength in these stressful times, what with all these new changes, on top of inflation, recession.. and those wretched tsunamis!

Best Luck all.

Hello.. Anyone? Moderators?

I do know that notifying the authorities of the change is a requirement. But as I mentioned I found out about this very recently and the change took place 3 years ago.
I understand I might come across as a lost and clueless, but could someone point me in the right direction as of now?
Should my company be filling up the form and sending it at this point in time? Or will that be pointless?
What's the best way of approaching this issue considering I will be making the application for ILR in July this year. How much of a problem this might be?
Or does this issue make my case completely invalid already as the authorities had not been informed in time.

I would appreciate any kind of direction.

Thanks

I assume none of you had a similar situation, therefore no response.
Here's an update.
I spoke to 2 consultants/solicitors.
One said don't worry about it and go ahead with your application with complete peace of mind. Where as the other one said 'that's a serious matter', and asked me to have an appointment with him to discuss my case.
Typical, isn't it?
So, I'll be getting an appointment with this other guy, maybe he just wants to make a quick buck by scaring me into thinking it's 'serious' maybe not. Who knows.
Just in case anyone here wasn't aware of this requirement..
