Employer Maintenence

Post by Glasgow_Help » Mon Dec 16, 2013 10:00 am

Hi,

I'm getting some conflicting information about the employer sponsored Tier 2, maintenance certification option. Along with the required check mark before assigning the CoS, what other proof should the employer submit towards the application (e.g a letter)?

I've heard both arguments that nothing additional is required and that a letter reaffirming the same information on the CoS summary is required from various sources.

Any advice please?

If the sponsor certifies maintenance for the migrant in the CoS, and doesn't specifically exclude the dependant from the certification by way of a sponsor note then:

a) if the migrant and the dependant apply at the same time no letter from the sponsor is necessary

b) if they don't apply at the same time, i.e. the dependant applies later, then the sponsor should write a letter confirming the certification of maintenance for the dependant and this should be submitted with the visa application
