Employer wants a different start date

Post by neohk » Tue Jan 26, 2016 5:02 pm

Hello.
I have got my tier 2 visa approved but I still have a question.
If my employer wants to me to start a couple days later, is that possible?
I have been given the clearance to enter based on a start date which is earlier though(14days before the date). Is the original "valid from" date still valid or should I travel a couple days later as well?

Hi,

I have been in the same situation. CoS and contract of employment with a starting date of the 1st of the month, but then, due to travel arrangements etc I started effectively on the 19th of the month that is 18 days later (and traveled a day before starting the job).

Everything was adjusted accordingly (I think after I arrived) from the payroll office and the administration person that deals with the CoSs.

Hope this helps ...

it should be fine, and there is no need to inform ukvi either.
plus once the visa is approved, the cos changes to 'used' and u cant add anything to it.
